  1. Know it well. I've hunted the Mottchman farm, at the bottom of Rivine Rd. many times. Some real nice bucks roaming those woods. And have killed a couple real nice ones in PR over the years too. Beautiful area.
  2. My stompin grounds! Where in East Berne were you? We grew up on Suto Rd, right above the park. Many still get to the Mobil by snowmobile when the snow gets deep!
  3. Same here in the hilltowns of Albany County. Another almost two feet coming, on top of the almost 30 inches we got on Friday. Still not as bad as the Tug Hill folks. But such is winter in upstate NY. This is the trade off for those beautiful summer breezes, we enjoy so much. And the perfect deer hunting weather, come late October, early November. Sigh..........guess I'll go gas up the snow removal equipment.
  4. My grandfather was a top notch woodworker. When going out into his shop, he'd always say, "c'mon in! It aint neat, but it's functional!" I still have some of the stuff he built. And will pass it on when I'm gone! +1. Looking forward to seeing it done! Got a good crew over there!
  5. Love my Axis in 7mm-08! I've upgraded and passed it to my grandson now. But it was absolutely lights out, DRT on any deer I shot with it. Just about any ammo I ran through it, shot well. For hunting, I used Federal Premium Nosler BT's in 140 gr. But the 120's will be just as deadly. Great deal Dad! I know she will love it, and can't wait to see her with a deer and a smile, come fall!
  6. If you keep doing that, you'll go blind! Seriously though, I always stayed cool and calm, for the everyday things. So when I did raise my voice, they would listen! They don't come with instructions. If ya follow your heart, you will do just fine.
  7. What a mess down there Biz! Hopefully sooner than later for ya to get the power back on. Sending good thoughts.
  8. Last nights show was pretty good I thought. Tied up a few things. And the garbage people walkers, making chili dip was insane!
  9. Atta boy, little fishing buddy, Joel! Moog, you are likely one of the most powerful guys I've ever met. Some big and powerful guys have, "the attitude". The "I will crush you" look, if ya know what I mean? That is the farthest from the truth with you, my friend! After some medical stuff last year I need to get in better shape. So I've started doing some light weight training with my grandson. What is a good workout for the belly, and bad shoulders? My grandson is a HUGE kid for his age, and thankfully has the same "attitude" as you. Sorry to thread crash...........
  10. You are so right! Back and shoulders are still sore! Sure wish I lived closer to moog!!!
  11. I hope by the end of the work day, you will be good to go at home buddy.
  12. Ya know, if Andy liked YOU, as much as you like HIM, ya would have had the power on yesterday.
  13. No surprise, I don't know s-it, er... poop!
  14. Ice season is done for me. Waiting for open water now.
  15. Yeah, we got hammered in parts of 4-H. Up to now, winter hasn't been too bad. So hopefully the deer will make it through just fine.
  16. Just saw that. They are already calling it, round two.
  17. Biz is tough! He's a ground hunter that doesn't hunt from trees! He will be fine! Could probably go another few days without a wimper!
  18. The wind kicked up this morning, and still gusting pretty good here. Lights have flickered a few times, but still on.
  19. The one that stands out the most for me, is the first tom I ever called in. My buddy shot him, but I called him from a couple hunded yards, to about 15 feet.
  20. Nothing beats quality family time! And making memories to last a lifetime. Awesome!
  21. $$$.....dang! I'll just stick to making close shots, and watching them drop within sight.
  22. Happy Birthday Mike! Wishing you all the best today my friend! Looking forwad to our next woods walk!
  23. Welcome to middle age moog! That time when your mind writes checks, your body can't cash.
  24. Haven't needed anyone to wipe my butt, since I was a child. Having grown up in the 'country', with not much money, we learned to be self sufficient. There have been quite a few times, where we lost power for a week or more over the years. We made it through just fine. Never depend on anyone or anything. Learn from past experiences, and be better prepared for next time.
