  1. After a certain point of belittling others, we begin to belittle ourselves.
  2. I highly recommend, anyone looking for a top shelf turkey display, go to this websight and check out what maytom has. He does absolutely beautiful work.
  3. Congratulations! Nice shot. That picture reminds me of two songs. Anticipation and Hungry Eyes! Good dogs!
  4. Awesome! Tell David congratulations for me! Beautiful buck! Looks like Mendon?
  5. Apparently, you have a good population of coyotes on this property. For some great, and challenging hunting, after deer season. Pick up an E-caller and some mouth calls and get after them yotes! Be warned, it can be addicting! Also frustrating, as they are no pushovers either!
  6. If she has gone all night, she will be dead now, if it was anything more than a grazing shot. Regardless, you need to start looking around in there for blood or the deer itself. Good luck.
  7. Times two! Tree guy is right on. A couple left over deer carcass tucked in the corner of a field will work. But we mainly just call, in different locations.
  8. Red is the best for me. I've tried green, but red just seems to work better for me. Either color, didn't seem to matter to the yotes.
  9. We got a bunch of his relatives just over the hill in Berne. Will be a few not coming to the family reunion this spring, after deer this weekend and through the winter. Just bought a light to mount on my 7mm-08.
  10. Great information Bob! Welcome to NY. And this forum. Thank you for your service.
  11. Wife tells me today, my mother in law will not be coming for Christmas. I say, thought we weren't exchanging gifts this year? That's when the fight started.......
  12. Saw seven today. All doe with fawns. And this prickly little fella. Will give it one more go tomorrow. Then that will close out the season for me.
  13. No, we could never get them to stand still......grin.
  14. Hmmfff. You should have lugged the chiseled stone tablets we had, uphill both ways to school! Covers not needed. Now that's old school!...hehehe.
  15. Certainly, if You don't go out, it's bad! Better to keep safe my friend, and wait for the roads to improve. How much on the ground there? Should be good deer movement once this clears out. Best of luck to ya!
  16. How much would it cost me, to have you prance around the outside of the thick stuff as a live decoy? I'll double the pay, if ya get one of the big'uns to take a couple steps out!
  17. Just a few lake effect flurries, this morning in the capitol district. Ground is bare here.
  18. Sending congrats to the Mr. on his deer! Way to go! You're on deck Paula!
  19. Could possibly be the spleen Paula. Good eats for the pups!
  20. That's what I tell my wife! But I'm certain she has known otherwise for decades now........wink.
  21. Saw nothing. But was really glad to just be out there! This time of the season, I prefer to be in the thick stuff, where the deer are now. Not able to do that yet. Couple more hunts and I'll call it a season.
  22. These pic's from a couple of days ago. Overlooking this area now. TF,I saw that some parts of WNY, would get some snow. Guess the weatherman was right for a change!
  23. In my comfortable chair blind, overlooking a daylight acive area, that cameras are still showing a couple of decent bucks. Will sit to last legal light.Niice pinch point bettween this upper area and the hay fields below. About a humdred yard shot to the bow blind. Easy work for the Sako. Just need deer!
  24. Think I'll load up and head out for an afternoon hunt. Sutures come out tomorrow. So may be a bit more mobil after that. So short walks to close stands will be it, for this years remaining hunts. But just to get out, is the best medicine for me!
