He probably has rope burns under that zippered collar. Poor bastid.

I had one of these for a few years. Worked great!

I too spent more than a few New Years eve's, behind a mic and a six or a 12 string, being entertained by drunken revelers. The one that stands out most, was in the late 70's, playing a sorority house party, in Charleston SC. Let me tell ya, THAT was entertaining! The one where a drunk fell into my mic stand, and chipped my front tooth was not so entertaining though......

Welcome, from another Capitol Region hunter! We are lucky to have a number, of good public land hunting spots, within a short drive. We are smack dab in between the Dacks and the Catskills too. I'm not too familiar with spots east of the Hudson, but on this side of the river, PM me and I could get you headed in the right direction. Stay tuned! I'm looking to put together a meet and greet with the Albany area members, in early spring, before turkey season. Would be a great way to pick up some local info, and meet some great hunters too!

Killed my first deer and a good number after that with an Ithaca model 37 in 16g with no scope. Furthest shot made, 70 yards. And a pile more with the Deerslayer 2 with a Leupold 1x4. shooting 2 3/4 inch Remington Copper Sabots. Furthest shot made, 120 yards. I still carry the DS-2 at least once a season, when I hunt in the thick stuff. The DS-2 has a fixed barrel and is much more accurate than the model 37. If I were to ever buy another slug gun, it would be the Savage 220. Also, since my area of 4-H went to rifle a few years ago, my longest shot was 40 yards.

-9 at the homestead this morning. With a stiff breeze, feels much colder. Kinda happy we aren't doing, First Night, in Saratoga this year. And reconsidering ice fishing this weekend up on Onderdonk Lake, and a night coyote hunt too. Never would have thought about not going, twenty years ago! Guess I'm getting soft!

Happy Birthday John! Wishing you all the best on your special day, and for the coming year! I too, thank you for the best darn hunting site going!

I'm usually asleep an hour before the ball drops. The New Year comes anyways, and without my participation.

I'll trade an Aaron Judge jersey for it! I will use the stupid echo. But you gotta wear the 99 pinstripes!

Yes sir, I couldn't agree more!

Happy Birthday!

-14 here this morning. "Almost," happy to be live from the office! The yote's were going crazy out there last night! Will get after them this weekend. The ice on the local lakes is good to go for some hard water fishing too. Nice to have options!!!

dinorocks, awesome job! BIG thumbs up to you sir! This site has some of the best people found anywhere! That smile says it all. What a beautiful first buck little turkeyfeather!

This put a smile on my face. Good stuff right here folks! You will have a blast shooting with your daughter! So cool! Big thumbs up to Tacks too!

Was out today with the Mrs. for some day after sales. Got a Field and Stream gift card yesterday, so picked up a couple more predator calls. Starting to build up a good collection now, as I like the mouth calls more than the E-callers. It just adds to the fun, if I call em in. Hoping to get after some song dogs this weekend.

Another thumbs up for the boot dryers! Been using em for a few years now, and can't imagine going through hunting season without them now. So nice to start each hunt with warm dry boots!

Favourite gun shops between NYC and Buffalo

Gunsmoke, in Rotterdam, off Cambell Avenue, right off 890 and very easy to find, and easy to get back to the Thruway too. They have just about anything you would want, at a fair price. The staff is always helpful, professional and knowledgeable. American Shooter Supply, that sherlockgael mentioned, is also very good here in the capitol district. Very friendly, and professional. -
Happy Birthday my friend! Wishing nothing but the best today, for a top notch guy! Hope the coming year has you fit as a fiddle, and doing all the things that make you wooly! Here's to you buddy.........

I have a Barnett Raptor and it's ok. But I also have a Centerpoint Sniper 370. For about the same cost, the Centerpoint is a much better crossbow.

Grand kids were well taken care of. Kids all good to go. My beautiful bride, who is my best friend and cheerleader, was taken care of. I am cancer free right now. That is the best gift I could possibly ask for! But I did pick up a new rangefinder, a pair of camo hunting suspenders, glove/mittens for cold weather hunting, couple shirts and a bag of my favorite cashews.

Just got home from dropping off my grandson's bike. Saw a big doe at the end of the driveway. And now, just a little all is calm, all is bright for grampy. Cheers to all and to all a good night.

Oh yeah, I see it now. Good strong name that fits him!

Makes ya wonder how they seem to know it's safe again, but they do seem to know. That's a real nice buck! And he will be even nicer next year!
