    Have used a 1x4 leopold on my deerslayer 2 for many years. Works great in the thick stuff or out in the open woods. For me, the perfect scope for that gun.

    The only thing clear about NYS gun laws, is that they are so disfunctional, even law enforcement doesn't know all the laws. And won't enforce some of the one's they do know. Perhaps if these laws were not rushed and passed in the middle of the night, by a corrupt bunch of politicians. We might all have a better understanding of the gun laws in NYS.

    If they made 30 footers or higher, guys would use them. Not my cup of tea, but more power to the ones who would.

    I mostly hunt from the ground now. But my hunting partner bought a Big Game Odyssey, last year that I hunted out of a couple times. It was very comfortable and stable. Not sure if it was 20' though. Think he paid a little over $200 when on sale at bass pro.

    Have used them most of my life and still do with the grand kids. Always get funny looks from other guy's in bass boats. Like hmmmm,what's he up to with them cane poles. Tournament anglers are always wondering what the other guy is up to.

    Getting ready to head over to my hunting buddies house. He has a frozen septic line from the house to the box. Took six hours yesterday with the backhoe to dig through sixty feet of concrete like frozen ground. He is down to home depot now getting new pipe. Hope to have it working again sometime this morning.

    Well the calendar says it's spring,but with snow coming in this afternoon it's still seems like winter out side. It has been a long winter and I for one am happy to have spring finally arrive!

    If you are there to do a job you do it plain and simple. If what you are doing is against your personal beliefs, then you should ask that management puts you in another department. But to refuse to sell something your employer is selling is just nuts!

    For the first time this year, saw six hens and a tom on a bare spot in a field, just down the road, this morning. They were scratching for food and looked to be in good shape. Haven't seen any in the field behind the house yet,hoping they made it too.

    And have seen them with no seatbelt, no headlights while raining, no turn signals and other infractions that I would be pulled over for and ticketed. I have family members in law enforcement so I'm not anti cop. I am anti double standard though.
