Very nice pics. I'm sure a great story to go along with them too! What gun were you using there?
-
Nice footage, and they look to be in pretty good shape, considering the winter they endured. Come on spring!

As long as everyone stays positive things seem to work out for the better. And it's the tough times that build you and make you stronger. Good thoughts sent.

Democrats Reload On Ammo Ban
grampy replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The most logical way to take firearms away from law abiding citizens. Is to make laws to prevent them from having ammo,to load those firearms. But that's ok, when we no longer have the ability to protect our families, from the criminals who will still get ammo. They will pass more laws to protect us. Or will they? -
I'll be happy to take any extra's that you might have! The slim jim's look really, really good!

My opinion is, making the calls myself, box, slate, mouth, wingbone or whatever, is more than half the fun of turkey hunting.

Nicely done. Good luck hunting with it this spring!

Gun.... $500.00 Ammo.... $30.00 Camo for 2.... $250.00 License... $50.00 Food.... $50.00 Transportation...$40.00 Seeing a kids face light up on their first hunt. Priceless!

All that $$$$ and you get anatomically correctness too.

Good luck grow. Whatever will bee will bee.

I have used Hoppes gun grease for years with no problems. Comes in a tube and can be found just about anywhere for five or six bucks.
-
For next year or even now, within the next week or so,for safe ice. I have all the equipment needed and more to take anyone who wishes to try ice fishing in the capitol region. I will supply everything, including bait.

Welcome and look forward to hearing more about all your hunting adventures.

Feral animals are doing the same thing I would do if living in the woods. Hunt.....

And an old Gattling gun that was used very effectively! Also the two handed pistol flip with the Colts is awesome! -

Not sure what they all were, but the outlaw Jose Wales had some really cool old guns. Even a old sniper rifle. -
Let the mud season begin.

Most of my hunting is done from the ground now. I have an older Bushnell range finder, that just gives the range and works for me. I will range trees or objects before the hunt. I have never ranged a live deer while hunting. All my attention is on making the shot or just watching. However if hunting from a tree or elevated position,I can see where the angle compensation would be useful.

I have a 10 yard range in my basement and try to shoot a few arrows when my shoulders allow it to happen. Need rotator cuff surgery in both shoulders and keep putting it off. I can still shoot but very painful to hold for any length of time. ahhh....the joy of paying for the dumb things I did when I was younger!

Happy to hear of your new best friend. I like Parker.

In town of Berne,4H we have 3 to 4 feet on the ground. 6 plus feet in field edge drifts and 8+ feet high snowbanks in the driveway. 2 feet of ice on the lake. If it will stay like this week with temps in the mid 40s,we will see bare ground by mid to late April. But will still have snow spots well into May.

Amazing pictures. Appreciate you risking life and limb to get them. Mother nature can be cruel. And she will be this year.

Hey wooly, is there anything you won't do to get those awesome pictures? Happy to hear you're ok.
