  1. Happy Birthday!!! Hope you are pulling some big "eyes" over the side today!
  2. There are a number of good sized public hunting areas in the capitol district. Partridge Run is over 4000 acres and is nowhere near as crowded as it once was, just 20 years ago. And loaded with game too. A bit of research will also turn up some smaller "gems" in this area, that will be safe, and hold good numbers of game too. Best of luck to you and your son.

    hi

Welcome! To hunting as well as HuntingNY!! We can certainly help you here, by answering a bunch of the questions you will have getting started. And perhaps you may even find a mentor from here as well, that lives in your area. As many here have shown, they are willing to share and give back. A mentor will cut the learning curve by a lot! But with patience and willpower, you can do it alone too. I wish you all the best in your future hunting.
  4. I'm out of "likes" but can't thank you all enough!
  5. Thanks so much everyone!!! I'm at work today. After work, got to go pick up some stuff for my MIL. She's 87 and can't get out. Then a nice dinner at home with Mrs grampy, the kids and grandkids. Will head up to the farm tomorrow for some outdoor activity.
  6. Food for thought.......if I used a left handed rifle, would I shoot backwards? Sounds like you and the Mrs, had a top notch dinner!!! That dinner came from a top notch buck!
  7. HONEY!!!! Where did you put my Daisy Red Rider BB Gun????
  8. Welcome! Glad you found us! Good group here, that will be happy to help you through the learning curve.
  9. Might wanna use the reduced recoil shells on that new puppy.
  10. Nice! He got a great little motor and a real good deal! Let us know what fish finder you get? Check out the Garmin's. I switched over to them three or four years ago, and love em!
  11. I'll be happy to take you out anytime, on my bass boat bill. I may be able to show ya a couple bass fishing tips? And perhaps give your arms a decent workout too, reeling some in?
  12. Is there a way to have a group hug, while social distancing?
  13. We just bought one for my oldest grandson he is heading to Franklin Pierce in NH. We got him an Apple Mac Book. Was not cheap but it will do everything he needs and more.
  14. In the mug is Kettel One and lemonade. The mug was sent to me a couple years ago, as a gift from my talented friend. I sure do miss him not being on here as much recently. But he's got a lot going on at home. Hope he sees this!
  15. What a beautiful night for a fire! This mug is my favorite, it was hand etched for me by wooly! Ahhh.......
  16. Billdogge has a couple nice ones for sale on here. Check em out! Bill is also a great guy!
  17. Just got back from Tractor Supply with this! Going to mix 19 to 1. Should be more economical than Sawyers, but still keep the ticks off.
  18. Awesome job as always Jeremy! Awesome buck Brad!
  19. Congratulations Larry!!! Nice gobbler my friend!
  20. I'll be putting in tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, pumpkins, and a couple other things this weekend. Garden is all prepped and ready to be planted. I have more tomato plants than I need. I have 4 or 5 plants free to whoever wants to swing by and pick em up. I'm in the capital district.
  21. Hope to contribute to this thread with a fire this weekend! A couple of drinks and a guitar to go along with it.
  22. Looking at his body, he's a two year old.

    Shot

Pretty sad. This officer should be dismissed. He should have known better! No excuse for shooting another hunter.
