So if the mob comes to your street or town, what do yo do?

Or maybe by just a "small" margin??? -
NY to Allow online Hunter education
grampy replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in General Chit Chat
I have not yet heard anything on doing the bow course online. DEC did send all instructors a message, to say "Stay ready, you are still needed". But, I will not be surprised if the DEC goes with the online bow course. At least for this year? Either way, I know you will be a great mentor to your young hunter. -

Congratulations to your daughter! We welcome her to the hunting ranks! Always so cool to have a young hunter join us! Wishing you both a lifetime of hunting memories together. -
Happy Birthday Sir!!!!

Disc or spring tine harrow
grampy replied to Team Hoyt's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
If you are going to go the throw and grow clover, oats, and grass route. On old logging roads, the tine harrow will work OK for ya. As you just need to rough up the surface a bit. If you want turnips, beets, or even beans, you'll need to dig down a little deeper. The disc's will work better for that. A plow even more so. Be sure to kill off the existing weeds and surface stuff first. Before you do anything. Have fun! And good luck! -

grampy replied to ApexerER's topic in General Chit Chat
Speaking only for myself. If the scumbags out there, just leave me alone, there will never, ever be a problem. For me, or for them. Legal or otherwise. I hope and pray, it never comes to that. -
Can't go wrong with 308 Win, it's excellent for deer hunting! Fine choice!

I'd be outside, with my AR, and a couple other weapons on full display, on my body. I think that mostly just seeing I'd be no pushover, or easy pickings, would be all the deterrent I'd need. But make no mistake, I'll always do whatever I need to do, to protect my family, and what I've worked my whole life for. You can come and try to take it, or harm my family. But not without a fight. The US Constitution still gives me that right. Even in NY. -
There ya go! Come back and let us know what you get! What caliber are you looking for, to hunt deer? Best of luck to ya this fall!

When you originally posted the picture, I thought that little guy\girl was just born. Cool picture my friend.

Happy Birthday!!! Sorry to hear of the injury. Enjoy your special day, and hook up with a big ol musky!!!!

They look great! Congratulations again!

Use the "Traditional" mode or the "Split Frequency" mode. Will be all you need. Water temp seems to be very accurate. But it is only reading the surface temp. Just a few feet down and it could be cooler though.

My sincere apologies to crappyice's daughter. I did see the post last night. And being a bit tired from working all day, planting fields, I figured it was some guys just goofing around? Had I been more awhere, I'd have given her a big HuntingNY welcome, and her first "LIKE" !!! She can have all of mine, if she comes back. And I truly hope she does. Have her sign back on with BroadwayFamous! Because some day she will be!

Hear any owls this morning? That could be a good sign Jay. Sending you some positive mojo my friend!

Rioting in Albany last night. Even broke into Colonie Center Mall. Most of the action was in the South End of the city, no surprise there. Much of the damage was to minority owned businesses! I just don't get it! Mayor instituted a cerfew last night. Will likely have one tonight too. Many clashes with police and fire departments. How is rioting and looting your own neighborhoods, establishing positive change? It's not. It's only making things worse than before, from both sides of the matter. I'm a long ways from where all this is going on. But as always, I'm locked and loaded, and will protect my home and family, from ANY situation. Nothing new about that.

Keep safe out there. Hunker down. Protect yourselves. This is not protesting for change. It's criminal activity.

Happy Birthday!!! Hope you are pulling some big "eyes" over the side today!

There are a number of good sized public hunting areas in the capitol district. Partridge Run is over 4000 acres and is nowhere near as crowded as it once was, just 20 years ago. And loaded with game too. A bit of research will also turn up some smaller "gems" in this area, that will be safe, and hold good numbers of game too. Best of luck to you and your son.

Welcome! To hunting as well as HuntingNY!! We can certainly help you here, by answering a bunch of the questions you will have getting started. And perhaps you may even find a mentor from here as well, that lives in your area. As many here have shown, they are willing to share and give back. A mentor will cut the learning curve by a lot! But with patience and willpower, you can do it alone too. I wish you all the best in your future hunting.

I'm out of "likes" but can't thank you all enough!
