58 years huh? Your selective hearing must be fine tuned to a razors edge! Congratulations to you and your lovely bride!

Yum!!! Love the combinations! I'd think half the fun of having one of those ovens, would be thinking up, and trying new pizza combo's!

I just want to thank each and every one you again, for all the kind responses. You'll never know how much you have lifted my spirits. I'm certain that Mark thanks you for that as well. As he always thought more for others, than himself. This forum is a pretty special place. And it has some pretty special members. I'm very grateful to be a small part of such a large awesome group. THANK YOU.

An 18 to 20 foot bow rider would allow for pulling a skier or floats. Still plenty of room for lounging and slow ride cruising. Much easier to launch and load in the wind, than a pontoon. And a V hull will handle any moderate chop, and wind that may come up during the day too. Much more versatile than a pontoon in my opinion. If you enjoy fishing, a fish-and-ski boat, is a good compromise between family fun and a fishing rig. Good luck, and have lots of family fun with whatever craft you get.

Words can't say, how thankful I am to you all, for the very kind words and prayers, for my brother Mark. So I'll just say......thank you. Mark left me with some comfort. On Friday, just before he slipped into a coma, he looked over with big bright eyes, to a spot no one was standing. He said very clearly, "hey lady, what are you doing here". When asked who he was talking to, he smiled, and said, mom! That is how he always greeted her. I know she took him home to be with God. Say hi to her, for me brother.

After a lifetime battle with the bottle, the bottle won, and my little brother Mark passed away this morning at 57, from renal failure. Let me tell you a little about Mark. He was a brilliant electrician. He wired hospital ER's and OR's. As well as many big commercial jobs throughout the capital region. He never missed a day of work. He never drank on the job either. Everyone loved Mark, as he was a happy go lucky kind of free spirit. He would always be the first to offer help, to anyone needing it. His sense of humor was honed to a fine point, and he'd have you laughing out loud in no time. Even sometimes when I wasn't very happy with him! Mark married young, and had a son. He loved them both with all his heart. But after less than two years she ran off with with an old flame, and that devastated Mark. That's when the bottle came to comfort him, and try as we might, it never left. I got him help many times, we all prayed, and begged him, but he always, despite all that, went back to it. It was his choice. At one point many years ago, I got him into deer hunting! We had so much fun together in the deer woods. But he didn't have it in him to kill one. I once did a small push through the big swamp to him. I saw a line of doe and two respectable bucks pass by him at less than 20 yards. I waited for the shot that never came. After I got up to him, I said "Mark, why didn't you shoot"? He looked at me with a grin, and twinkle in his eye and said, " shoot at what? I didn't see anything"! As we both stood in the snow, surrounded by fresh tracks. I will miss our long conversations. I will miss the late night phone calls. I will miss you Mark. Love ya brother. RIP Please send a prayer if you will, to my brother Mark. He's with God and mom now. With no more need for the bottle.

Life has been crazy lately, and I haven't shot since winter down in my basement. I did buy a new target a couple weeks ago. Still have my shoulder issues, and have also been fighting tendonitis in my bow hand elbow. But will get out and fling a few arrows very soon.

Happy Birthday!

Sounds like you have a very good deer hunting parcel, that you have acquired!! We have a large swamp on the north part of our property. And have done what you are doing, with food plots put in near by. It is always one of our best mature buck areas. Congratulations on your new land purchase! And best of luck with the plots, and hunting! You got the pups out there sniffing around?

Happy Birthday!!!

Grumpy Old Men!!! I still laugh out loud every time I watch it. The end clips from old Bergess Meredith are priceless! "Bring the log to the beaver"! lol Christmas Vacation, and A Christmas Story, are still holiday laugh makers.

I will take your advice, I respect your knowledge, as you are our resident trail cam guru!!! Thanks Brad !

I'm thinking of picking up a couple of these SpyPoint Mini's. Reviews are mixed. So I'm a little jumpy about placing the order. But the price of the cam, and the plan, is very reasonable for a cell camera. Any others out there with first hand experience with these? What do you think? Would you buy another?

Great mount! Always leave em as they were when ya shoot em, anytime possible!!! Great buck too. Congratulations again!

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads and Grand Dads!

My grandsons 16u AA travel team has canceled all tournaments. Sucks, as he lost a whole season, not playing varsity school ball as well. So he went out and got a job at the local horse stable for some spending money. He's been training really hard for football season. Hopefully we will have those games come September! His goal. Not ours. Is to play either baseball, or football at a D1 school. He just may do it? He works out year round. Has the size, athleticism, coachability, and mindset to make it happen. Barring a major injury or set back, we will see? He will be a junior this fall. Has two more years to develop.

Happy Birthday Gentleman!!!

The toad seems to be saying, " this just really bites my ass" !

I've never heard of the show? But based on this thread, I'll have to tune in and see for myself.
-
Yeah....I'd have a problem with that too! Irradication justification!

Yeah, both thumbs are a bit chewed up today. My boat will do 60 max, with just myself, and a light load. But I rarely run WFO. It's faster than his old boat. So I think he bought this new one, so he can have the bragging rights now!...hehehe It takes a real fast fish to catch up with a trolling rig at that speed. I once went over 100mph in a race boat. Once was enough for me though.
-
You are all a bunch of brutes!!!! I love hearing the chipmunks sing at Christmas time!
-
Before taking the pic, I asked how fast ya going? He said GPS and the speedometer say 62, and I still have some throttle left!! I said cool!!! Us bassholes like going fast.....lol

Life has been crazy lately. But I did get up to the Great Sacandaga yesterday for some fishing with my BIL on his new boat. We boated well over 40 smallmouth! Nothing huge but a bunch of fun catching and releasing. Was a great day just to be out there!!! I took pictures of him with my phone. And he of me with his phone. He hasn't sent me mine yet. So here is a couple of his. Beautiful place to fish. At about 62mph going to next spot.

My BIL just bought a new Nitro bass boat. We will be heading up to the Great Sacandaga in the morning. He has a bass tournement coming up there. So we will break in the boat, and sling some different lures, hoping to put a pattern or two together. We have both done fairly well in tourney's up there over the years. See ya tomorrow, live from the water! Finally!
