Scariest experience or encounter in the woods or on the water

Mine was similar to buckmaster for fishing stories. I took my dad's boat out to fish for eyes in lake Erie one evening with a buddy. We made it out no prob from Rich marina down to the windmill area when the lake turned and all of the sudden the waves were high, the type that when you are in a roller you can't see anything on either side of you except water. I rode it out back towards buffalo taking hard hits here and there. Pulled into the buffalo harbor soaking wet and had the sherrifs ask if I was nuts I told him yes I am! Then headed back to Rich in the dark lol. -
Yeah gander had quite a selection of coolers. I assume this will be a bad store as well but we will see. Apparently they're going to sell allot of camping specific stuff which eliminates most of my interest compared to hunting and fishing sections.

Absolutely absurd.

Someone hop on it! My buddy uses one for our goose hunting and it's great.

I've played it probably every way possible in the past from shooting some that I can sneak up on to sending a dog in to scare them to attempting to sneak in and hunt with no decoys etc.. In this situation I have to get there and see when the birds leave and show up (hopefully they head to water at night) but with such a big number I'm kinda out of my element. Scouting it tomorrow night to see how they leave and my buddy is going in the morning to see when they show.

Friend of mine said he has a co worker that interview for a job at gander. They told him they'll be opening early in April at the Tonawanda location we'll see if this ones any better lol.

Thanks Rob, I hope so. If not it'll be nice to get out there at least

I'll try and put up some pics and reports this weekend. I can only hunt this weekend and maybe a couple evening this coming week. Our faithful spots are holding birds in decent numbers and are ready to hunt. I actually gained permission on a huge flooded corn field today. A conservative estimate is literally between 2 and three thousand birds in this field. They are packed in there. We'll see how it plays out and come up with a plan for Saturday. Good luck if anyone goes out.

That's great awesome to see more people who care.

It'll be fine like other s said. I run tires that are way off from the factory tires.

Nice I used to order there with my grandfather he lived over on Burbank.

I definitely wouldn't shoot one... Cool pics I think fishers are pretty cool animals. I'll never forget the first time my dad and I saw one.

Good question I didn't know it could even be tested til I saw this thread

I switched to Verizon and they said it's the fastest I can possibly get. It's the same speed as the time Warner that I had and that they made sound like it was ancient. Can't trust anyone.

Can't wait for the weekend to shoot some geese. Checked the spot yesterday and it's a go for sure.

Never been to the restaurant but am a big fan of Hooters of all types. I like a variety and don't discriminate. Sure I have my favorites but most are great.

The battle,over gun rights

Just another pissing match. That's all that comes from gun arguments. Nobody here is going to change any opinions. I'll keep my ars and support who i want to support. And it's all fine because I'll never use my firearms to kill innocent people.- 145 replies

I'm a supporter, I've gotten a few interesting comments on the sticker that's on my truck too. There's some real inconsiderate people out there. -
Haha alright, hi I'm Big Val

My truck came with a leer on it. It's a nice cap and does the job I guess but the con for me is I have it on for maybe a couple months out of the year because I always need to use my bed for ATVs, sleds, etc. The cap tends to be a pain more than a help. BUT when it's on and I don't need the bed for that type of stuff I love it, like my ice sled or stuff that can fit under the cap. I like not having to worry about the stuff in the bed.

2017 live from the lake , ocean , pond , stream, river thread
BigVal replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in Fishing
Just got home from Oneida. Yesterday I finally figured out the eyes on this lake after a couple tough outings. Limits of eyes for myself and gf. (Yes she caught he own limit and got more than I did) then moved about ten times to look for perch. Finally landed on them at about two o'clock and picked away at them til dark. Went to the same spot this am and the perch were still there. All they wanted was spikes on small jigs wouldn't tough raps, spoons, minnows , heads, etc. Fun weekend!
