  1. Prettiest freshwater fish in my opinion! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  2. Played with trout today. Catch and release. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. SLAYED largies today. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. We make 200 proof at work, might want to mix it.... And our "still" is millions of dollars so... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  5. That's what I figured too, this fella was only maybe a half dollar size at best. I assumed a year old turtle would be larger than that by now? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  6. Almost forgot! My buddy was popping the hook out of a smallie and was like, "What the hell is in this fish's mouth!?" We took it out and it was a baby snapping turtle! Strange! I didn't think it was warm enough for baby snappers to even be born yet?? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  7. These fish are staging in pre spawn mode right now, they won't spawn for another month or two. The warmer water pulls them in. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  8. Honestly it was a bit slow for this spot but another week or two should be 75-100 fish days! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  9. I can only eat so much smoked fish and my wife doesn't like it so the 2 or 3 salmon I keep each year is enough to last me. I'm not a big fan of eating trout. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. 50+ fish day, mostly big smallies with 3 steelhead and 2 northerns mixed in. Biggest 2 smallies of the day were 4.8 and 4.9lbs. Couldn't break 5 lbs this time! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. Killed a few deer with Activ slugs, they were all over back in the day. Every so often I will stumble upon an old Activ shell casing in the woods, I always admire it for some unexplainable reason. Guess I'm reminiscing... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. The only one I wish I had kept was my first Mossberg 500. It was nothing special but I killed my first few deer with it and later traded it for something stupid. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. I agree with Rob, the firearm is used to get to safety in most situations, not looking to engage. I know you could think of a million reasons/exceptions. If I need more than a mag full the second mag probably won't matter either. Carrying the gun and one mag is enough for me, and sometimes I don't even bother with that. Anyone who conceal carries a firearm everyday knows how uncomfortable and cumbersome they can get. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

    Fly Fishing Gear

I have a 3wt, 5/6, 7 and 10wt. I find myself using the 3wt for stocked trout and big gills in June. Unavoidably I hook into some big bass while using bluegill poppers and it actually annoys you because it takes 15 minutes to land the damn things. If I'm targeting bass I usually reach for the 7wt. The 5/6 works too but for big smallies it's a bit undergunned. The 10wt is for chucking long streamers at pike/tigers. I'll probably use it here and there for salmon too. 15. I've had a few this late before, not many though. I hate it, really screws up my shed hunting! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  16. A few of the better bass brought aboard today. My buddy and I boated 23 total. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  17. I never saved a deer heart up until 3-4 years ago when I finally kept one and tried it. Now I keep every single one. Delicious. That's the only organ I care to eat though. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  18. Results are in! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  19. You're showing your true colors. Keep it up. I'm sure more members want to see fishing pictures than naked men. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  20. Do we even have moderators anymore? How is this thread not locked? How are the "golden children" allowed to keep violating the sites rules so blatantly? Stormy got banned for being annoying, now we can post pornography and whatever comes to mind? This is a bit out of control. Nice work representing the hunting community guys. You should be proud, you know who you are. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  21. I did not join a HUNTING site to view naked men. There's other sites for that if that's your thing. Who's playing by who's rules?? You show me in this sites rules where it says you can post genital pictures. If certain people on this site had posted that they would be warned or banned from the site. Im all for humor but it should've stopped after the first time it was posted. Would you like your children seeing the picture?? You sound really ignorant right now. 22. First off you have no idea of their situation so for you to pass judgement on them is naive. You yourself said you were there for small projects, not necessities. And necessity is a relative term, for all you know this guy was there for a more urgent reason than you. If you are that concerned then YOU shouldn't have been there either. It's called hypocrisy. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. This whole post made no sense to me. I guess only you are allowed to go to Lowe's? And what does it matter that they had a dog?? Maybe the projects aren't helping your sanity after all... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  24. Italy also is one of the "oldest" countries, the average age is higher than here in the US. The average age of persons killed in Italy is 81. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  25. I'm not sure that they post the dates they'll stock because they base it more off of stream conditions. If everything is blown out they'll wait. And some places will get stocked several different times throughout the spring. A buddy and I were getting our waders on in the parking lot last year Mid May and in rolls the stocking truck. We got talking to them and they asked if we wanted to do the stocking and we said yes, they filled nets and we took them and dumped them in different holes. Net fulls of the 2yr olds, 10-16". We then wondered if they'd take some time to acclimate or if they'd bite right away. We'll, they pretty much bit right away. We must've pulled 50 of them out of those holes on flies. We release all of the trout we catch but the people that came in behind us sure weren't. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
