Honestly, I'll likely be sold out before they arrive. That's part of the challenge with these. I hate pre-sale but I'm at the point where I don't think I can not pre-sale them due to the demand.

Moultrie doesn't have a cellular network. Verizon does. ATT does. Moultrie does not. They buy bulk data from the network operators and then middle man the upcharged data like almost all of the cell cam companies. You may mean revamping their middle man plan prices. Moultrie just did that a few weeks back, which was a step in the right direction. They're now at or slightly above average plan cost though. Before was atrocious.

I sold out of my Reveal shipment pretty quickly. I'm supposed to get 400 or so in at the end of this month or early September. Very few places have them in stock. It is a better camera than the Spypoint. Features still need to be developed - since it is new they'll release updates over time to improve use. The cam is a good entry level cam - but have to also acknowledge much of this shortage is fueled by the initial shipment being close to peak demand and also a very popular marketing tactic that hasn't been used in about 5-6 years in the cam space due to the backlash from it being used in 2012-2014 by another company. They have a "field staff" that is extremely active on social media - significant headcount and activity. It does wonders for spreading the word. 80% of the cam content on social media has been reveal for the past month. Again, cam is good for entry level.

I don't want to distract from the spirit of this thread/post. It was only a two year old but deer have good body weights here. Back to the sharing of photos.

People complain about the madness on FB, yet this site can hold its own.

i tried this on my XR. It brings me to a ton of categories. Which category are you pulling up the signal strength? and which signal? LTE? GSM? Etc.

Nice bow. My Valor is ready to go too. I put on the React sight, too. Hoping I like it. Also, world's smallest microwave or something!

Don't forget the regular season tag becomes either sex in late season, too. And it's not just either-sex for bow/mz, there is the either sex and the statewide antlerless, too. I agree antlerless should be done on a pure draw basis or done with restrictions on use, such as not being able to apply the tag in an WMU with no DMPs, or not allowed to be applied to a WMU for a second antlerless harvest in a zone with no second DMP odds. Kill off the statewide stuff. Ohio's way is very complicated but they seem to be able to adjust quickly. Also an option.

I know it sounds bad, but I blast the board and the C-level people when I have an issue in an institution that has silos. You're running into silos. Nobody is empowered to make the resolution. By blasting the board, you hold accountability across the leaders. One will be made to carry the torch and take ownership. It will get handled. People hate it when that is done to them, but it's not personal. It's business. Hell, I hate it when it's done to me at work. I just kicked out $7K because of it about an hour ago...The silos make it impossible to empower the employees to resolve.

Yep - I've sold alot of them over the past few years. Run three networks myself.

Maybe a Breakthrough Treatment for Covid-19???
phade replied to halfnelson's topic in General Chit Chat
I get the flu-shot every year. Wife runs a home daycare and when I'm in the work office, I can see the flu go around like its the plague because I'm responsible for several departments. Over the course of a few weeks, you can see it go department by department based on location in the building. While I don't know the long-term impacts of the flu shot, most things in life are about making the best choice of two bad decisions. So I get it. I will likely get the vaccine when it comes out if it is based on derivatives of longer standing studies. Most of what I understand about Modena and other's trials is that their vaccines are based off of longer-established versions that are modified to choke out the viral replication and build immunity-memory in the bone marrow cells. There will always be the risk - one thing that is not super talked about is the long-term impacts of contracting the virus, even when non-symptomatic. Some info does seem to indicate permanent lung or organ damage. I guess in the end its a roll of the dice either way. -
I generally don't check this forum on evenings and weekends. If anyone needs to reach me, PM is probably best because I usually get an email trigger.

That answer depends on the camera/brand. Some have data sharing plans, some do not. Overall cost is the bigger factor. The plans for the Reveals are 5-13 per month or on annual basis a bit cheaper monthly average (you pay all 12 mos ahead of time at once). One plan for each cam, right now with them. Most all cams now are prepaid, no contract, and you can turn on and off at your desire, so you're not stuck with recurring costs.
-
There is no fair answer that would be reliable for you to bank on. I know many people try to say X bars, or some other form of comparison. If anyone speaks with guarantee on it, they're not being truthful IMO. The best thing I can suggest is to send an image to a friend using data at the spot you want the cam to be, using the same service type. That is probably the best guess as to whether it'd work or not.

A Mustang and a 911 both have engines and wheels and transmissions and both get you from A to B. One might just lag behind the other in the corners or get brake fade leaving the straightaways, and the occasional blown gasket or gear slip. It's 25% of the retail cost and a new to mass market cam, so it's somewhat apples to oranges for the time being. Plan pricing will also be a factor.
-
Yeah, it sure is. This cam has potential. They'll at some point squeeze the customer into an upcharge or some re-arranged plan to get larger images - which is understandable at the price point. I'd love to see it send video too, but that might be super expensive. They've done a good job with the cam itself - logistics giving them some challenges. Smaller company getting a huge expansion of sales. I'm hoping that service can keep up which I suspect they'll have to lean on dealers and their prostaff for the first few weeks. That said...their set-up and support from a self-service perspective has been very well done, which should reduce need for service.

Shoot me a message and we can get squared away.

They won't be a Spartan. Different price point to compete on. But for entry level, so far so good.

I'm down to 7 left right now out of 80 that arrived at 11. They're 115. Data packages are 5-13 per month on a monthly basis or you can buy an annual plan.
-
Just arrived in Verizon model. I have a few left if people want to buy one. So far so good. Liking these initially better than Spypoints. I’m familiar with these cams actually as the guts are a cam that has been rebranded historically along with some improvements. Setup is easy and the app appears decent. Im hopeful for these cams.

Cherokee Purple tomato? Looks like something close if not.

I'm sure alot of cams have met their demise due to the insides of a hardside blind or a window edge.

I have a Valor on the way in a 60lb. I have a Z28 and a Synergy; both of those bows shoot great IMO. I'm purposely looking for a shorter ATA and the Valor fits that bill. I think the shootability of the shorter ATA bows are largely dependent on DL and string angles come into play. Before I blew my back out last season, I had a few instances where I wished I had a smaller profile bow in a couple stands. All were short-distance shot scenarios with stands that had limited cover or required more movement in tight space. Also spent a ton of time in a few hard side blinds with my bad back and a shorter ATA would definitely be more useful. I doubt I'd carry it when needing to be a long-range bomber though. More of a situational bow to support me using my Synergy 80% of the time.

Thanks all. I don't get on here as much as I used to but I try to check in from time to time. Hope everyone is doing well!
