  1. Wait a minute… he was up here last year. Good to know he’s still alive!
  2. What? The vaccination thread is dead?? That was one of my greatest accomplishments!
  3. First Sunday with no hunting: homemade waffles… and a few pink ones for the princess.
  4. Doe eye of round over rice with veggies, sour cream, Mateo’s and Cholula.
  5. Button bucks whole heartedly believe in the 3rd rut
  6. Out for a quick hunt… but sending any good luck I might have over to @turkeyfeathers
  7. Success! He loved it and immediately put it on its own shelf before his siblings could destroy it.
  8. Early and continued exposure to peanuts will help prevent an allergy. Based on this I'm quite confident Ill never develop an alcohol allergy.
  9. Apparently the theme of this Christmas was “cookware”. I’ll be sure to put these to good use in the Dinner thread!
  10. Merry Christmas! We were out of town for a few days and came home to celebrations at full swing at our house. My input of scallops were one of the 7 fishes. I also fell on the sword and drank Santa’s “juice”.
  11. Northern zone cheapo cam is still working well. Decent deer activity, with lots of coyotes and fox. I was happy to see quite a few bobcat pics including one of 3 young ones.
  12. Getting closer to being neighbors! How big is the new basement archery range???
  13. Seafood alfredo lasagna with a side of backstrap… goodnight.
  14. One down and hoping for a few more. Can’t beat the views either way.
  15. Took my nephew on a charter a few months ago and he caught a bonito. I saved the tail, dried it and mounted it to a puck since he’s obsessed with hockey. He doesn’t know about it and I’ll give it to him on Christmas.
  16. No skill, animals that want to die... sounds like my kinda hunting!!
  17. Definitely more tender than a fresh hindquarter steak. Almost fork tender. Flavor was great, but it always it!
  18. 2 week old doe steak. Age your meat @crappyice!
  19. Homemade pizza after a wet and boring hunt. Caesar burrata and good old cup and char pepperoni. My apologies to those with an aversion to salad on pizza. It’s not that bad.
  20. I trim a thin layer if it’s really dried up. Football ended up being cut into chunks for chili and ground for jerky. I’ll braise the shank with the other side and it’ll be, well, as good as any other shank. The steaks are for Sun night and I’m pumped for them.
