I had to reeducate them this season not to ever ask me if I got a deer. If I do, they will know. I consider it analogous to asking an unemployed person if they found work yet. They hate the question!

Not a bad pic! Last week I went out and my four year old said "Don't get a deer...I'm never eating deer ever again." We ate some later that night which she liked anyway.

The fact that a lot of people seem to think you should be able to vote even if you suck so profoundly at life you literally don't have a single piece of government ID is exactly why we are so screwed. idiot, uninformed voters are precisely why we continue to have terrible and corrupt leadership.

I hosed down my clothes with Sawyers at the start of the season but these things are no joke. I haven't found one yet while hunting but I probably don't look as closely as I should at my flesh.

Doc is right though. The media will shill as you say for Anyone but trump made so many ridiculous mistakes in this campaign and he made his job very easy for the media. He made it way too easy. I will vote for trump but I didn't vote for him in the primary because I knew he was massively vulnerable in American culture to the attacks forthcoming and he has fallen to many of them. The fact that even so many republicans cannot back him-- not the fault of the media but of him--tells me a different candidate would have done better. So I will vote for trump on Tuesday. His odds are not great and he will probably lose. But I hope he doesnt because Clinton is a cancer and represents the very worst of American politics. His odds are Nonetheless getting better all the time and I really hope my predictions of his demise prove fruitless.

Trump is gaining in the polls at a blistering rate I wouldn't have thought possible. RCP aggregate has him down 2.2 and I think that is actually less when a few recent polls properly come through. 538 has him almost 30% but again I think they are lagging. The big question is what else comes out this week. Clinton campaign is going to surely push some "trump is a rapist" or whatever else type crap shortly. Two big bomb shells left for clinton may be 1) Comey honors her request for more info and it is bad (it will be; there is no way they merely have duplicated emails, I don't believe) 2) Assange does a final KO with some crazy stuff out of wikileaks

I got real lucky the first day of the season and took a nice buck, but if we ignore that fact, my season is going similarly. I've been out an additional four times in my favorite spot and had one tiny buck walk under once. I've been out six or so times in another spot and had two deer walk by really far off just before sunset. These should be great spots! Overall it's still been a success because of that first day (I'm not crying!), but I'm really learning I need to find new hunting grounds. I read in the live from woods thread people seeing deer all the time--and often in herds, like 5-10 at a time (!). I once saw four deer while hunting. That was it, all others are either solo or occasionally in a pair and always on the bulk of my trips I see nothing. I think my areas are just too pressured.

It's almost as if his boss was directly appointed by the sitting president who also endorsed the person he was investigating while he was investigating her. And while we're making up fantasy scenarios, imagine if that very same boss had a secret meeting with the target of that investigation's husband, who was an ex-president himself, and the meeting happened just days before Comey's initial announcement. But, that's far too much of a conflict of interest to be taken seriously, you wouldn't even put that in a fictional story. -------- Comey is finally shaping up to be the guy we were told he was during the investigation. A quassi political "rogue" who puts the law above the rest and will do what he thinks is right. He sure dropped the ball in July, but now he's telling his boss to pound sand, this has to get out, and so out it goes. Hillary is of course bluffing, asking for more details. She better be careful because if he gives her what she's asking for it could end up going south for her even more.

My point is if you guys think you can march around the woods from october first with a 440 or 500 or 600 FPS crossbow (when they are created) and the gun guys are going to happily sit waiting another 7 weeks for you to take down all the big bucks, you're living a fantasy. This thread simply portends another a few years down the line from gun guys asking if they should have full inclusion. And you'll be right there whining that guns aren't archery equipment so they shouldn't be able to benefit from an early season, even though you're hitting deer with 150+ foot lbs of energy at 80 yards.

Not really. They have virtually hit a wall. This is a fact based on physics; once they hit 100% efficiency, and they are approaching it, they tap out. Crossbows are nowhere near their wall and are already 2-3X the KE of a bow, with flat trajectories that a compound will probably never achieve.

This is why we can't have full inclusion. Crossbows are getting better by spades year after year. This will keep happening and full inclusion will guarantee much higher harvesting rates during bow season.This will necessarily, unequivocally result in revocation of DMP availability for some, and poorer hunting chances and or reduced season. The people who should be most stringently against full inclusion are gun hunters because if they don't get on board and get a badass crossbow, they will be increasingly picking up the scraps come mid-November. A 440 FPS crossbow is essentially doubling your killing range over a crossbow because those arrows are flying insanely flat. This will just keep getting more so. 500, 550 FPS, will just keep marching crossbows up in range, threatening the distance deer are typically taken with a gun in this state.

8F dead as a doornail. This private property in Marion totally went to pot on October 1st. I even had a cam on a nice trail and in six days literally saw not one deer! Confirmed. RCP now has ABC news at +3 Clinton. I posted in a private forum a week back that the ABC news poll was total crap; there was no way it was showing that yet another poll run by pollsters was showing a much closer number. One of them had to be wrong and since both were run by competent people one of them was lying. As some here have said, a week out the polls are showing how the election will really go, to avoid egg on the face of pollsters. Oh, and let's remind this poll number is from BEFORE she is being re-investigated. If something massive does not happen this week to undermine what comey just did, this election is legitimately in play.

Afraid I do, too. I am cautiously optimistic, though, that he's relying on polls I think are off a bit. I think his odds are probably overly optimistic for hillary, not that I can back that up with any evidence. It's going to be interesting to see what today does to her poll numbers. It has to do something. Trump was slowly gaining, up to about 18-19% today before this bomb dropped. He may make up some decent ground in the next week and a half assuming he doesn't screw this up.

First time I saw one I thought it looked like crap, but you get used to the look. I just find fixed mag an interminable pain on the AR. it's doable, but very, very quickly tiring and bothersome You could also go with a spur grip, which is cheap but it looks like the gun is incomplete. I actually think they feel really nice, though I know some don't find that.
