Good luck rebel darling,hope you do better than i did yesterday. I got to stalk some does twice,that was fun,but none wanted to come home with me,haha.

Well, i saw a bunch of deer,but they saw me as well. Even a buck,but a spindly 4 point,he is safe for now,haha. I will have to get a stand back in there and soon!!

Just blew a stalk on six does. The wind is shifty here and the last wise doe to come over the rise picked me out like I was dancing. I was in fact on all fours and still. Bummer,was only 40 yds out.

I think they don't like bright sunlight,so overcast days they are apt to move more. I have no data to back that up though...

Not to piss anyone off,but i am sitting in a tree for the whole day,unless i need to get down and process a deer. It is beatiful here in 4F.

My heart rate would have been 172 if I saw that thing in the woods,that's for sure.

I am playing hooky tomorrow,all day in the woods. I have only spent a few hours here and there out in the woods so far,and it is about to change. Might even go for a doe if one comes by that is big enough. I find the deer are very hard to figure out this year,there is food everywhere for them between the acorns,beechnuts and apples. I have not spent that much time watching them either,better start now...

made it up a big oak tree between a hayfield and swamp. I was a little noisy,but also hopefully early enough. Not much for shooting lanes here,but i always wanted to check it out.

I just drove past the property i was going to sit at this afternoon. The neighbors Beefers got out and are being chased all over the place. I think I will have to come up with another plan...

No deer seen tonight,but i am hopeful for tomorrow afternoon and Thursday and Friday. Some cool nights on the way,finally.

i am dead center 4 F. And mostly woods here,a couple of hayfields. I dont think even corn is close enough to be on his home range,but maybe he travels further than i think. North of me bucks tend to be bigger,more agriculture and better soil. Probably same thing west of here,and east as well,like in the schoharie valley.
