  1. No restrictions means concealed carry, Also if you have restrictions on your permit P.A. will not allow you to get a carry concealed in their state, at least that is what their pistol permit office told me.
  2. Here is one example. This is Buffalo N.Y. http://ecode360.com/13589188 Here I pulled the part that matters No person shall possess a loaded or unloaded firearm, rifle, shotgun or air gun, or a dagger, dangerous knife, dirk, razor or stiletto, in a public place or public facility in the City. This prohibition shall not apply to:
  3. I know what the law reads I know what concealed carry for pistols is, what I am talking about is open carry of a long gun down a street. In NY there are laws that do not allow you to open carry a long gun.
  4. Read it how you want and do what you want how the law is written is too vague to warrant "only pistols".
  5. In NY you must carry concealed no if, ands, buts about it.
  6. Not if it causes public hysteria which a clown waving a sword around would, also in NY there is no open carry you can not walk the streets with any sort of firearm in plain sight. The only addendum to the law is if you are hunting and going to and from your vehicle to your hunting location.
  7. If they have some sort of weapon you better believe I'll pull my CCW. Especially if they begin to follow us, you can't go waving a sword around in public and expect to be fine I'm pretty sure a cop would put them down if in that same situation and they didn't comply.
  8. Coom by ya coom by ya.. Wait crap wrong thread Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. I always try to time my stand maintenance around the rain or earlier in the summer.
  10. That sounds about right for those 2 looking at your pictures. I am hoping next weekend I can throw up a couple game cam pictures of some nice deer. My cameras will be up for almost a month before I get to pull the cards. Hoping with all this soaking time I can get a picture of a nice one.
  11. Got both of mine, 8Y and 8F. Everyone is a shoe in for 8F. I will get 2 more of the leftovers for 8F on the 1st when they come out.
  12. Washed mine in Dead down wind with one of those unscented dryer sheets last night. Now they sitting double wrapped in a garbage bag until I go out.
  13. I have a 1981 galvanized boat trailer that has no rust except the parts I welded in. The original galvanized metal has no rust and not to mention it is completely submerged in water about 10-15 times a year. Like I mentioned an aluminum trailer will last a lifetime or until you outgrow it, and most have the ability to haul more because the trailer itself is lighter.
  14. I use the Gun slick copper Klenz, works great and yes I run it thru about 3 times and no more dirty copper. I also shoot jacketed bullets, not sure if the jackets are harder than a solid copper. You might be having a little bit of an issue because you gun is older and the lands and grooves are sharper than more modern day guns, this also depends on the amount it has been shot. http://www.gunslick.com/products/chemicals/cleaners_degreasers/copperklenz.aspx I also use this one called Ultra Klenz. http://www.gunslick.com/products/chemicals/cleaners_degreasers/ultraklenz.aspx
  15. I was thinking of Doc's sweet demise. Sorry about that. Yeah you're right it does smell like a barnyard. In that case I have a special recipe for that too!
  16. I make my own "ever calm" I take one of those cheap spray bottles in the HBA section add some Imitation vanilla about 2/3, add a few drops of almond extract and a little molasses to bring up to 3/4 full. Shake vigourously until molasses is dissolved. Use any way you want but I generally just spray my boot soles and pant legs. I have had deer follow my trail up to my ladder stand and start licking my ladder rungs. Granted it wasn't a 160" 10 point but the doe seem to love it.
  17. I 2nd the PT deck. Look for a cheap used one, if you want it last forever buy an aluminum.
  18. You and me both, the season used to open after Columbus day anyway. Still too warm for my liking.
  19. I love to bow hunt, when I'm sitting in the stand and don't hear other people it is nice. No WW3 guns unloading just the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks.
  20. Sounds like it wasn't ground enough. We have an older grinder and the plates and cutter were shot, we had to grind everything 3 times. With new plates and cutter once through is perfect. We had the same problem with some breakfast sausage, small chunks of un-ground meat that was chewy and the wife refused to eat it. I didn't like it but refuse to waste food so I ate with a bunch of the guys when they came up for fishing trips.Like I mentioned your plates and knife are shot.
  21. When you guys can venison do you cook it first?
  22. I have used them for a few years and they don't seem to bother the game that much. If it stops raining I like to close it up but they work well. I have even used one on the side of my stand to block the wind in the colder gun season and it helps.
  23. I love hunting in the rain, walking in is almost silent and any scent I lay down on my way to the stand is washed away. Only down side is the possibility of getting wet and not being able to hear game.
