  2. any ony have any plans to get out after the king this fall?
  3. i have a wolf and its a damn good gun accurate light ect. very happy with it and did,t break the bank either caught it on sale for 89
  4. the 500 will really take a baeting without problems while in the service they would see top side duty on the piers sand at the ranges ect and required very little maint. to perform thier job. they are on the loud side for my liking but id say very little cahnce of a jam
  5. my cocker turning into a very well rounded dog so far this will be her 2nd season and has been nailing birds during training. and flushed on just about every outing last year. treed sqiurel and ran a few rabbits don't train her for the fur but don't discourage either. if only i had my wing shooting skills honed up will do better on my end this year forsure
  6. someone elses tag would be poached
  7. the dec does do things for small game hunting maybe not always evident but they do. if you do your homework and keep track of where the state does logging on various state lands you can do quite well. had my young cocker on game every time i went out last year. could it be better yes could they do more yes.. but many don't seem to realize what they do.. the other thing you run into are that when covers are found the tend to be kept under wraps
  8. been through this before when i inadvertantly left my fanny pack on my flat bed it is ten per tag ie. buck each dmp bear each turkey ect.. the sportsman is only one charge
  9. glad he is gone by way of the us navy and think pakistan should pay yes they have nukes but they never know where our ballistic missle submarines are in the world. and only hope that bin ladens burrial at sea involved being sucked through a jet engine off a carrier deck
  10. i doubt a break in deer season would make any differance grouse hunters would use it to get thier dogs on birds before deep snow
  11. nice buck and the walnut looks great hopefully many more for you
  12. the state mows at most release sites just not evrything and on a cyclic rotating schedule so they have medows at various stages to benefit all wild life. it's not that big of a deal if you ask me esp seeing that their is not a breeding population at three rivers.
  13. hi test gas does not burn hotter it is actually less volitile. most small enigines have higher compression ratios than vehicle engines hence the recomendation for hi test it will eat your fuel lines gaskets and such at the same rate as regular. however running the regular in a high compression small engine can lead to detonation and possible burnt pistons
  14. in theroy kwik fil should be lower but it gets into supply and demand ie others are charging this so we can too plus most of the time kwik fil will be at least 5 cents down from everyone else
  15. the cng technology is not burried i work on them at least once a month but it is not public friendly. ie cng refuling stations the way they are set up you could not go into your oven t to fill with out modification which would void your warranty therefore cng is most sutable for fleet vehicles at this time where the company can invest in a refuling station.
  16. yea they grouped well in my 20 ga h&r but opened up to destroy the cavity i mean i want expansion but not an instant gut job as well
  17. not to positive on hounds but i like to start as soon as i get them (bird dogs) plus a lot of things are training for field use even if you don't think of it coming to thier name sitting ect just folowing comands ect... started my cocker on scent at about 3 months just very short trails 5 to ten yards then longer as she got more comfortable this was our first bird season together and she did quite well for being less than a year flushing her first bird at 8 months and at least one bird per outing its really something seeing your dog work
  18. had bad results with the barnes expander myself although mine caught a rib on a perfect broadside shot turned alittle more than 90* and opened up the stomach cavity for me quite well little cutting was needed to gut and was the last time i used them
