  1. I agree! Was just trying to make a point, that after all the miles I commute daily through this woods, this buck is on the large size of big odd bucks I see. Exciting.
  2. I am doing very well with trail cams this year, This is a real nice 8 pointer for 3k in my opinion. I’m pumped. I drive a lot on the back roads of Sullivan County, and this buck is on the bigger end of what I see commuting. My home is 300’ off the road, and in mid summer the power company cleared the right-of-way thats on my property, to the pole before my house. I immediately set a camera right on the telephone pole facing in the direction of the road. Across the street is a small pond, and there is 1900 acres of private land some rich family owns. Setting this camera here has been a great spot. Bear, fox, fisher, deer, all use this. 10:30am on 10/28....hoping I see him...I believe he is a buck that was caught in velvet with 4 other bucks that I posted a pic of.
  3. All kidding aside, I believe I have seen him again! Looks exactly like him. Same area too...you know from the swamp lol
  4. I have the one size down, 4k and 9k BTU size, with the 20 lb tank setup on a 12’ line, worth every penny. My dad has the 18k BTU model you posted a link for, he loves his. We both would buy again
  5. I get frustrated too, I just think back to my biggest buck who changed my life in a blink of an eye. When I get frustrated, I continue to be driven by thinking back to how it all changed in seconds. I don’t mind full day sits though. I hate leaving early....If I hunt, I 9x out of 10 sit all day.
  6. I agree! Andrew called me last year, almost a year ago today, when I deflected off of a sapling, wounding a buck. I was devastated, and between TurkeyFeathers, and Andrew, they spoke....next thing you know I have a foreign phone number buzzing my phone deep in the woods....it was Andrew! He spoke to me for a good hour, or two, helping me as if I had known him for my entire life. Very grateful for that.
  7. Spaghetti squash shraaamp scrampi. Enjoying this “spaghetti” squash quite a bit!
  8. I am ready, been ready, I like crossbow a lot. I find it a lot of fun to shoot. Can’t wait to sit in my fresh tower! I picked up a fresh 3 pack of lighted Mission bolts for my 400. I want to see an orange streak!
  9. Best sit in a long time, no more deer seen, I don’t feel I spooked any on my way out either. I have purposely not hunted much this bow season, in hopes of not burning out my home woods, before Halloween. Congrats to all who scored today, some amazing deer you guys, can’t imagine.
  10. Excited to be seeing legal bucks here at home in the AR zone! Thanks, I will!
  11. Annnnnd a wide perfect 6 just now, clear shot but too far for me, wasn’t comfortable so I let him pass.
  12. Nice 7 or 8 just came through behind me rubbing brush....no shot opportunity.
  13. Disregard, posted in wrong thread somehow
  14. Deal with baseball all summer, I’d be pissed to miss hunting due to more of that crap, lol. Good luck!
  15. Stuck working OT until noon, babysitting a damn soccer tournament.
  16. That sounds great. My Grandpa, on my dad’s side LOVED fresh made sausage, smoked, with string beans from their garden, potatoes, and sliced onion, all simmered in a pot. It is also my favorite dish, even though it doesn’t sound all that appetizing. I enjoy it very much.
  17. Ultimate comfort right there. A similar dish means a lot to me.
  18. I was out from dark to dark, saw about a dozen deer, and a red fox. It was one of my most eventful sits in a long time, honestly.
  19. I hunt 5J sometimes, I am one of the last people to seek advice from though. I have only seen 2 does while hunting up there....over about 5-10 full day sits. Some monster bucks up there though, and they do show in daylight. As mentioned by the previous poster, keep at it, right place/right time in larger wood tracts.
  20. Chicken Enchiladas Rojos, and Steak Chimichanga....Peach margarita for Jenn
  21. No clue. We don’t have any over 2017.
  22. I did not rag on any brand lets make that clear... I was talking to Jeremy because he said he hadn’t heard about it in Ford too much.....that is what my post was about. Nothing about Chevy, or engine swapped this, or that. I can add plenty to the Chevy comments, negatively...but I am not like that. I don’t rag on what people own, or choose to buy. I firmly believe one should stick to whatever they have had luck with, and or simply prefer.
