I feel like I am the only one who doesn’t care for Costanza’s Maple Blueberry Venison sausage.

Yeah, prices are sky high, and bidding wars are occurring. Looking for a home in rural Maine, and even up there, home prices are soaring

Big pot of chili for the dinner tonight, and work lunches. Needs a good few hrs yet to simmer, just added the tomatoes at pic time

I struggle with this....where I hunt the wind constantly changes directions, I don’t see wind primarily in one direction, none of it makes sense to me, unless I am misunderstanding it all. i hunt a very low deer density area, and it is sort of a big woods settings, deer do not have patterns here from what I see on cameras. I feel as if I do not have any other option, but to set stands according to what trail cams have shown me in the past, for best probability.

Progress. Even saw a few deer while installing the cabinet knobs on the plexiglass windows! First pic, you can see a deer a little right of the cabinet knob...last pic is zoomed in. Protective film still on plexiglass until complete. Building the door on some horses tomorrow, and then the ladder is very last.

Thanks, just building as best we can, with the hope of it lasting decades, unless a tree falls on it.

Yes, I commute through your area daily, and one year I lost track at 23 bear sightings....I travel from Eldred area, down Forestburgh rd, Oakland Valley rd, 211 and down. I hunt a lot, and have witnessed 4 bears while in a treestand, coincidentally 3 of those were off South Rd. You are in a great area, even the state land is good by you, still requires a good bit of time to see good sized wall worthy bucks, but they are definitely there! Good luck, I am not the most knowledgeable as far as hunting, I tend to stick to routine stands, and put as much time in as I can, which probably hurts my success rate, so I cannot really offer to much help otherwise. Keep an eye on antler restrictions, and zones change randomly I believe in the area. 3K is an antler restricted zone, you have 3M a stones throw away as well, doe permits are given away in 3M like candy on Halloween, with zero antler restrictions. I think route 209 is the border in areas, but double check for yourself, and 3H is not far either I believe, but further towards like Ellenville? Again, not 100%.
