Got This Flag In The Mail....

Love it! We just got the same. Son in law is a cop, and daughter is a federal LEO. -
Wow, that sucks! Sorry to hear Water Rat!

I saw an article mentioning that they had their articles of incorporation originally filed in NY even though they are now based in Virginia. Apparently that gives Cuomo's attack dog, Letitia the ability to attempt this. I've been an NRA member for a long time and while I'm not happy for how little they did for us against the SAFE Act, I certainly don't want to see their demise!

Haha, you nailed it! I was told last year that the King Andy would most likely keep more funding coming for project expansions as he has been pushing for broadband expansion. Then Covid happened and I'm sure that's all done now.

New hunter hoping to still-hunt the Catskills this season

Welcome aboard! -
I've been watching. The current project stops 3/4 of a mile from my road - booo!

That's a good tip! I have it down right now as I noticed that bit of drywall/paint to the left of it that needs fixing. Actually I noticed it two years ago but trained my eyes to ignore it..

I had Hughes for 4-5 years. It was the only available method available to me at the time until cell service improved in my location. Then I went to wireless first through Verizon, and now through AT&T. Hughes was problem free, but I couldn't stand their draconian data limits. If I recall, at that time I only had about 10 gigs of monthly data limit, and I exceeded it regularly it which case they would throttle me down to a completely unusable speed until I either hit my new billing date/data allowance or purchased more data at $10/gig. I'm sure that's been loosened up in the last 6-7 years. If satellite is the only method available, then you don't really have a choice.

Small world - DJ's did my first mount, an archery 8 point. Turned out very nice and is still nice all these years later. Ironically, that's the mount I took down to make room for hers. I used to go to Switzers too.

Looks great, I love the retro style! Hope you get lots of enjoyment with it!

Happy Birthday John!

We have 4 mounts in the living room, and two smaller ones in the basement. Hers is the biggest one. I took one of mine down to make room for it, lol. She doesn't really go on about it at all. The day she got it, she didn't really talk about it much, my daughter and I had to interrogate her for all the details. And the end of the day, my daughter mentioned to her, you're supposed to have told the story four times already. My wife answered "why, I already told you about it". She wasn't even into having a mount done as she said we already have mounts. I said it's your best deer, it's going on the wall!

Always nice to get a call from the taxidermist. This is my wife Doreen’s 8 pointer from last year. I think it turned out nicely. I’d forgotten about the darker rack. That line on the neck is from my hand. I noticed it after I took the pics and it brushed right out with my fingers.

I do every year. In 8T there hasn't been second permits in a bunch of years. I apply for a permit in either 8A or 8P as I have friends and relatives in those areas. I transfer them if they are needed. Last year I applied to 7R which is by my place of employment. I knew I'd have little to no time to hunt there. I transferred it to a coworker who lives there. I figure that might bring me good buck hunting karma. Still figuring, lol.
