  1. Good area for sure but landowners are very possessive of their properties and a lot of it is chopped up into parcels or leased making it hard to get access. Gotta know someone to hunt around here.
  2. This one was still packing last Thursday 2/23
  3. See a lot of vhs tapes at amvets store. They also had a vhs player on the shelf for about $10.00 I think the converters run about $300.00. Not to long ago I had to throw a bunch out. Nobody watches vhs anymore that I know of.
  4. Good sale for sure. I received a pair of the heated gloves for x-mas and am not impressed. Can't wear them by themselves and they are pretty flimsy. They will probably be ok for sitting in a stand or maybe driving but not much else. I think a better investment would be the insoles.
  5. So with today being the last day of small game in my area, and rain expected to come in I decided to take the Jack Russell and .20 Gauge double for a walk. Since it was a decent day and not a lot of wind I figured I could just mosey along, look for game, look for sheds, and get the dog some much needed exercise. By the gps I covered 4.4 miles so I know she covered at least 6 miles. Didn't see a rabbit, grouse, squirrel, shed, or even a chipmunk. We did come across a deer carcass and another shed hunter who had not found a thing either. Introduced ourselves, shot the breeze for awhile and then both went our separate ways. The only game seen was two geese on the creek and one deer that was jumped out of some thick stuff on the way back. Plenty of deer sign and trash left in the woods from hunters. I really can't understand why people have to leave their soda, water, beer, juice, and food containers in the woods. Normally I would pick it up and take it out but the pack I had today would not have held a quarter of what I saw. Even found a old patio chair that someone must have used for deer season laying in a ravine. It was still a good day and right now the .20 gauge double is oiled up back in the cabinet until next fall and the dog is sacked out on the couch. Since dinner is done and with a toddy under my belt once this is posted it will be time for a nice hot shower and then watch how our president is going to DRAIN THE SWAMP Pics of today:
  6. That makes two of us....If I had run and lost as bad as she did I would crawl under a rock somewhere and stay there.
  7. Always have wanted to learn to fly fish but I would probably be better of with the toothpick castle or something similar.
  8. Survey Says Check for youself...depends on who you ask (go figure) http://www.debate.org/opinions/should-hunting-be-considered-a-sport
  9. Something we could do in the parking lot maybe(bacon)?

  11. That is awesome...I would go stir crazy trying to accomplish something like that. How easy is it to move without destroying it??
  12. Don't ask me Yuku defined as: Yuku is the latest version of ezboard, Inc.'s internet forums. Yuku describes itself as "Message Boards 2.0". This tagline was most likely derived from the Web 2.0 features of Yuku message boards, such as tags and RSS. http://usmc.yuku.com/
  13. Looks like a pretty boring job anyways
  14. QUOTE: The Truth: There’s no way to verify claims that more than 13,000 Marines applied for “White House detail” after President Trump was elected, or claims that no Marines applied for White House duty during President Obama’s eight years in office. The notion that Marines eagerly applied to serve President Trump in the so-called White House detail appears to have started with a Facebook group called Conservative Veterans for America
  15. I rented for a weekend, did what I needed to do, prepared for the next step, and then rented again to finish up. Tractors are a nice plus but buying one for "future jobs" that may or not come may be somewhat risky. Bottom line is you have to do what ever you are comfortable with and take the good with the bad! Just remember...side jobs leave less time for hunting.
  16. Never ever get rid of the atv If the tractor/backhoe is to expensive find the wife a better job. Hoping to do side jobs especially for family to pay for it would be a royal pain. Last time I needed equipment I rented it. Pricey but cheaper than monthly payments and don't forget the stake out required for every dig. https://www.digsafelynewyork.com/
  17. They only signed up to have a chance at seeing Ivanka on occasion and holding the door for her.
  18. Trail cams have no effect on the way I hunt. They are just a informational tool for me to see what and when things are going on. Occasionally they provide a glimpse or image of something I may have seen had I physically been there. Sometimes they show something surprising but one of the most useful purposes I have found for them is who is sitting in my tree stand or using the land when I am not. They are usually out when I am hunting so if I hunt a area with a camera I have to skirt around it as to not take pictures of myself. That is the only way they affect my hunting. Physically scouting is always the best in my opinion.
  19. Currently shows he is not doing to good but there are only 46,000 votes currently http://nation.foxnews.com/poll/2017/02/21/how-would-rate-president-trumps-first-month-in-office/
  20. This one is cheaper but doesn't carry as much gear and blades can hit the trees.
