  1. Hope nobody tells Troy...and before you ask http://www.chootem.com/
  2. Yes I have used it 3 maybe 4 times. Thought it was a good idea but have decided I would rather scan with a hand held instead of a head mounted. A lot of guys like the head mounted and won't use any thing else. Personal preference I guess.

I personally would never own a split limb bow.
  7. Sporting License Buyers - Beware of Opportunistic Websites 01/05/2017 Sporting License Buyers - Beware of Opportunistic Websites Anglers and hunters should be aware of at least two currently active non-DEC websites where one can, purportedly, purchase a fishing license, hunting license or receive hunter education training that meets New York requirements: Fishinglicense.org Hunting-license.org Among other things, these sites offer information on how their products can simplify the purchase of a New York State fishing license or hunting license. Though some of the logistical licensing information is correct and may be useful, these sites also offer a consumer the ability to purchase time-saving downloads for recreational licensing services that are specifically NOT affiliated with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The consumer on these sites should understand that they are only getting ‘assistance’ for their money and not an actual fishing or hunting license. Additionally, the money being charged by these websites is not a ‘credit’ toward the purchase of any New York fishing or hunting license. All of the New York licensing information that one needs can be found on the DEC Sporting Licenses web page.
  8. Supermag They turned out really good.
  9. I put mine in and take them out every year by myself. What I do is climb the stand, loosen the ratchet strap so there is enough slack for it to slide down the tree. Climb back down, remove the piece in the center that goes to the tree, pull the pins for the first section, and remove the first section. Once the first section is removed you can slide the rest of the stand down the tree, remove the next section etc. and completely disassemble at ground level. Putting up can be tricky but basically I assemble the stand, put it against the tree, attach the center piece from the stand to the tree. Then carefully climb the stand and attach the ratchet strap to the tree. Your weight will keep the stand against the tree til the strap is attached. Best and safest to have help but no one is usually around when I decide to put them in.
  10. Not sure where you are from but be careful out there. Big contest this weekend for more fox & coyote to get educated
  11. GE quality has gone in the toilet. That is all we used to buy. A lot of appliance dealers won't even carry them because of it. Most people in the business will tell you they only build them to last 5-7 years any more. Replaced ours about 1 1/2 years ago and paid for the extended warranty just to cover the electronics. Seems everything comes with digital controls any more.
  12. And then the lovely property tax bill comes in the mail. Always goes up...never goes down
  13. We use these...easy on & off and work pretty good. Cabela's has them on sale. We didn't pay that much for ours when we bought them but just like everything else the price goes up. http://www.cabelas.com/product/hobbies/snowshoes-accessories|/pc/104799780/c/104771880/cabela-s-women-s-snowrunner-snowshoes/2051154.uts?destination=%2Fcategory%2FSnowshoes-Accessories%2F104771880.uts
  14. Grampy Just like everything else it is supply & demand. It has been bad for quite awhile because of Russia's economy being in the toilet. Since they do the vast majority of buying along with China there hasn't been a solid market for quite some time. Odds are it won't come back anytime soon because there are so may furs in storage bought on speculation that if the market does come back it will immediately be flooded with furs. A lot of buyers have bought fur at extremely low prices, fleshed, stretched, dried them, and put them in cold storage anticipating a market comeback.
