That's one big giant squirrel.

I thought normally the manager would get two security guys to wait right outside the exit and once the kid gets outside, he's surrounded and caught with the evidence.

While I have a Contour and not a GoPro, I see the problem the would be the same for both. The fisheye lens is one issue. The other is that when we shoot, our heads and bodies are usually pointed at a 45 degree angle away from the subject so the camera is also pointed at a 45 degree angle when we shoot. You can fix that if you attach it to your weapon (bow or firearm) but that means you have to constantly be pointing the weapon to film. That said, I have seen some great footage from people who have successfully filmed their hunts with a GoPro so they might know more than I do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Helps with planning (nursery building, clothes etc) which is good to do well before the baby arrives. My wife had CVS done so we knew well before normal that we were going to have a boy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the real tree camo iPhone case as well. Oddly enough, I was deliberately trying to avoid it but I tried every other case they had in the store before it and none of them for my liking. It was the last case they had. My wife said it shows that hunting and I were meant to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stewart State Forest, Big Swamp, and Cranberry Mountain all have pheasant release. I try my luck on all of them. You sometimes have to hit the jackpot and strike shortly after the release. Like Rossi said, even afterwards you'll find some still around but they've adjusted to the area and have found some safer havens. I saw one running across a road to someone's yard once on my way to Stewart.

welcome to the forum.

I've had good success without a dog simply by walking and kicking them up on my own. I also tend to hunt off of other hunter with dogs. If I see a couple of hunter with dogs at a particular field I would hunt an adjacent field with the belief that the dogs would push some of the birds into this adjacent field.

The Axis is Savage's economy line so odds are you have a better gun than the Axis.
-
I agree with Hock3y24. It doesn't look like an Axis. Based on the way the stock and bolt design. I contemplated getting the Axis before. Handled a few of them during the process.

Well if I had to go through life without any tiramisu or creme' brulee's then I might as well get eaten by a bear.

Obesity strikes again. Shouldn't have had that second cupcake.

Man! Your dog almost got the grand slam of small game all in one day!

I'd bet their trees must be real healthy too.

I use a muzzleloader but I only purchase the late season if I complete strike out during bow and regular season. After a month and a half of deer season I'm ready to chase other game for a change.

Generally most people apply for the tags they might use and either get them or don't. It isn't till later in the season when hunters have already fill their freezer space do tags become more readily available. So for first timers, don't get discouraged if you don't get any bites on your offers this early. The activity picks up after bow season starts and guys start filling up their freezer space. Occasionally you get a person here or there who applies for a tag but then have their plans change but that doesn't happen as often. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Question about traveling with hunting riffle overseas
Elmo replied to lastedtiger's topic in General Chit Chat
Do I need the 4457 Form when traveling to Texas? Since my rifles are all registered in NYC, I have the transfer forms proving ownership. Would that take the place of a 4457 form? I was also planning on putting my ammo in the gun case along with the gun itself. Would that be an issue? Thanks in advance. -
That's why they're offering you that bottle of Jager...so the 3 can look like a 6 afterwards.
