Well said mohican.i see the same on the property i hunt.to the north of creek that runs along property is some dense cover.always see stronger sign going into that after first few days of gun season apose to bow season.area isnt too heavily pressured as its all private and im only one hunting the property im on but still notice the change.guess it depends?

Depends if grandfather will be able to make it out.been having hell of a time with his c o p d so weather permitting and how hes feeling.stand of his choice then ill sit elsewhere.only hunting 36 acres.have a tripod setup corner of pines by the stand (inside of pines)ive hunted all bow season and seen deer every sit.thats where he plans on sitting of he goes.id like to see em get a crack at one sence he hasnt been out yet this year.if he doesnt go ill be in that stand or another hot spot i sit on opening morning

As previously said cnc is where its at now.can see that by the reponses haha.think its going to be my best route.i started from scratch not knowing a thing walking in the door.my father took tool and die shop in boces and has been doing it sence.so he got me started in it.started running saws looking at prints.lathe work,milling,quality control and now sharpening/cuttergrinding cutting tools of high speed and carbide.will deff look into cnc.thank you guys!

  6. 24 years young.will be at the shop im currently at for 5 years in february.like said im willing aslong as it will work with travel distance and hours as me and g/f share 1 vehicle due to funds.

Have contemplated that aswell.reasoning for looking is currently im cuttergrinding drills reamers endmills and various cutting tools etc etc.looking at other cuttergrind positions they are making atleast $4.00 an hr more than i am starting.i havent been cuttergrinding aslong as some guy but from what ive done im doing a swell job haha.also as u were saying.am willing to learn new things and not afraid of a challenge.

Currently working for a company.love what i do but pay isnt all that great and feel as if i could do better.im sure alot of people feel the same but im open to see other opportunity's that may be out there.cnc is where its at but all i know of is manual machining.anyone know of any opportunity in the rochester ny area?
  10. Last years season i saw 2 deer haha!so far every sit this season ive seen atleast 2.sunday 1 buck and 8 doe.big improvement id say.odd how these things happen but as you said in a way.it keeps you interested
  11. Glad im not the only one that said .243 ha.hunted with a rifle last year but saw 2 deer with no shot.always been a shotgun.really thinking about the .243 for this season

Spike i took a shot at today and had clean miss was pretty swollen up.did a grunt with snort wheeze and had him come in out of nowheres.wasnt seeing any deer so played with buck roar call i use.he walked around and grunted him right in as he kept going the opposite direction of where i was till he relized where the grunt was coming from ha
