LIVE From The Woods 2019 - Lets hear stories and see some pictures!

I’ve been out all morning doing drives. We are down a few people this year so we are not as effective. We have moved some deer around but they followed their own plan and not ours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I wish I had a nice lunch, a cup of hot coffee and a book to read. It’s almost to nice to go back inside but alas there are other things to do today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’m not sure you would qualify as a motivational speaker but yet I found my way into a tree stand. I know I’d be kicking myself all day if I didn’t head out. I don’t hunt the late season so today and tomorrow is it for me. If I tag one I’ll probably end up donating it to someone that has not been so lucky. I have more than enough meat in the freezer and no desire to butcher another one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The older I get the more I realize, understand and enjoy the fact that it’s more about making memories and enjoying the day than it is about pulling the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In desperate need of some motivation to get moving this morning. This warm bed is just to comfortable. Only a half day hunt today and I’ll need a big doe in front of me to pull the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I just gotta say that's a pretty cool experience and one for the memory book.

I’m a pretty avid bowler from September thru May then that turns into golf for the summer and then that turns into hunting until the cycle repeats again. Of course with hunting being over that means I’m home a lot more on the weekends so plenty of time with the kids and working on projects around the house as well. I’d like to get my motorcycle up and running this winter as she hasn’t ran in the last 5. It’s a simple throttle cable fix but it’s so low on the list I never get to it. I have nothing new to add as you have already had all the advise you need. I just wanted to say I am glad to see you still hunting and still posting on the forum. Be patient and your time will come. Just remember hunting isn't just about the kill it's about all those things that lead up to it as well.

Thick Pines or any thick area that wont allow the snow fall to be as great on the ground followed by a good food source or the travel route from the thick cover to the food source.

The more I read the more I’m glad I’m willing to pay someone else to do this job. Processing 3 deer was enough work. I don’t need to also be doing 2 euro mounts myself as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heal up bud! I’ve been missing your stories this season that’s for sure. I was just talking to my wife the other night telling her how much I’ve learned from reading your posts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Congratulations Enders! Don’t be picky this early in your hunting career. Any deer is a trophy and should be treated as such. Most I know including myself went a couple of years hunting before scoring our first deer. Enjoy the healthy meat that you just got with your own hard work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

If you where close by I’d push the woods for you every time you went out. It’s gotten to the point that I’m depressed for you. #thankGodforalcohol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 9790 replies

Let me know next time your fathers in town I’ll just happen to stop buy. Lol Having my daughter help butcher definitely did zero favors for keeping my knives sharp. Plenty of fur and bone was touched! A price I was willing to pay and would again in a heart beat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can borrow my 2 small bucks for a boost in numbers. They should be good for an additional 35-40 combined. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Nice! My knives need some serious attention after doing three deer this year. I’ve touched them up a few times while working but I think they are at the point they need more than a simple touch up. I’m working on my sharpening stone skills this year. I seem to be able to get a decent edge on the knife but it really does not seem to last very long so I know I’m not doing it entirely correct.
