  1. One of our youth hunters punched a perfect circle in a does ear 2 years ago with a 12ga slug. His first shot was good but the doe ran so he kept shooting. If I remember right he shot 4 time and the doe only had a hole in its chest and a hole in its ear. And ya better believe we used the hole in the ear as the spot to attach the tag!!! I wish I had a picture. It was like someone used a really big hole puncher. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. LOL freeking kids will swim in anything LOL
  3. Man that's crazy. Especially for it to be in Saratoga. I always thought of that area to be a nice quiet safe little town.
  4. Unscrewing the broadhead and pulling the arrow out is exactly what I do as well. I just assumed I was doing something wrong but it worked for me. Now that I know a seasoned veteran like yourself does the same thing I feel better about myself.
  5. I helped put a big double up last season that had the rear jaws like the X-Stand. It was close to the same design where you secured the tree stand from the ground before climbing up. Defiantly a game changer.
  6. I can understand that and if there was some communication back and forth explaining that then it might have been different but it was unfortunately us and the coach asking all the questions to the league and not getting answers back. This year was the coach's first year coaching house league and the upcoming travel season would have been his first year coaching travel so he even wanted to know what was going on before committing.
  7. I have a friend who works in the Buffalo Public School's and those same stories and much worse have been told about the kids and it wasn't just high school either. Crazy stories all the way down to 5th graders. I don't know how those teachers last. He's now in an administrative position and is hardly inside one of the schools.
  8. For an update on my Daughter possibly joining 10U Travel.... They couldn't get us much information at all except and I quote "a tournament over memorial day weekend and July 4th weekend and maybe some others" They had so little information on travel that even the Coach couldn't get any information and backed out. So in the end she staying with the 8U house team and they are holding optional practices every Tuesday for those that want to come out. We went last week and she was 1 of 5 girls to show up. The best part is those 4 others that showed up are her best friends so she basically got to practice and goof around with her best friends for an hour and a half.
  9. From everything that you posted @virgil I think you made the right call. It sounds like your Town does things by the book. Which is fine but you where going to open a can of worms with the kitchen remodel.
  10. Just send me your bank account, pin and Social security number and I’ll have that wired over post haste Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Why do you have to remind me. Now I have to go have a drink to forget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The less you say the better. If your kitchen is almost done when he comes to inspect the addition all you did was new cabinets, floor and a coat of paint.
  13. So how much does a full body mount run these days? Asking for a friend....
  14. Every Town and building inspector is different but as a project manager for an Architectural Firm I suggest that you finish the kitchen before inviting the inspector into your home to inspect the framing of the addition. If the kitchen is in plain view as the inspector makes his way to the addition he has every right to question the kitchen remodel and look up the status of any building permits you have. The fact that you are moving plumbing and a window is enough in some towns to trigger the need for a building permit. If your Town is really relaxed on the building permits they might not care or they might not require Architectural Plans for the Kitchen remodel just the need to file for the permit so they can have it on record and get their money for the permit. You could always call the Town building inspector and inquire about the need for a permit and describe exactly what you are doing in the Kitchen. Just use a friends name and address LOL. In all seriousness most building inspectors are there to help and not be a pain in the ass for homeowners.
  15. We use them all the time around the house. I’d say the advertised time they are suppose to last is fairly accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. @crappyice any must have places to go to on the places that you went to? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’m not too familiar with cabin sites but this year we went to bowman lake state park. It had a nice beach and the sites where very private as far as State campgrounds go. They had some cabins spread throughout. Right now I’m sitting around a fire at Chapman State Park inside Alleghany Forrest on the PA side. The camp sites are close and pretty open but the beach was really nice and the facilities are super clean. I only saw one or two cabins as we where driving through. Lake Eaton in the Adirondacks was another favorite of mine. Plenty to do with the kids in the area. Not sure if they had cabins though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. A bunch of people on an F150 forum I’m on have sold to those places with no issues. I’d have to read through the thread again but one or two online companies where a bit slow on the entire process but in the end there where no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Now you guys got me thinking and I'll have to mess with the numbers to see how much more I will have to contribute in order to retire at 59.
  23. Agreed, I wish I could retire earlier but unless you get into a good state or federal job it's incredibly difficult. Even the major corporations now don't have the same pensions as they once did. Getting into a retirement fund as soon as I started working was probably the only smart financial decision I have ever made in my life.
  24. Are you saying 65 is earlier or later than what you have in mind for yourself?
  25. My 401k is up 30% over the last 12 months and up 11.87% in 2021. I can retire at 65 and be fine according to the built in financial tracker.
