  1. Awesome news my man! the prayers shall continue that everything goes well
  2. Dang it, I got passed up again. You guys are just that much better looking than me.
  3. I haven’t done it personally but the trade in value quote you got is the real deal. Used vehicle prices are through the roof right now. The chip shortage is delaying new vehicles and dealer lots are pretty empty so dealers are over paying for used vehicles. As long as your comfortable the the price of the new truck your looking at go for it. I could have gotten $7,800 more than what I bought my truck for in January of 2021 just 6 months later but most comparable trucks to what I already had where also $6000-$8000 more as well making it not worth it to me. 4. Get her out in the woods with ya man!!!! Yes she won’t sit still Yes she won’t be quiet Yes you will only sit for an hour Yes you won’t see anything Guess what? It will be your best hunt of the season. Besides the bow season is LONG you can afford a couple of short sits. I started taking my daughter when she was 5 because she was interested. Short sits plenty of snacks and things to do but some of the best conversation and memories. I still remember the time when she was probably about 8 years old we where out for a 2 hour sit in the evening. I mistakenly mentioned grabbing McDonalds on the way home for dinner as a treat about half way through the sit. For the next hour until sunset she whispered/sang this song about getting McDonalds for dinner. It was non stop and she had me laughing pretty good. Not a chance in the world where we going to see anything but it didn’t matter one bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Right!!!!! I don’t need a reminder of how unprepared I am Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. More than one? I see your faith in the group is strong!
  7. I'll bring them home if you promise to throw them at his front door like a weird game of ping pong
  8. If the temps are perfect I like to let the deer hang for a few days. A year and a half old it probably does not matter but on older deer my honest opinion is it does make the meat more tender. I will pull the inner loins out as soon as its hanging otherwise those dry up. Letting it hang for a few days will allow us to organize an evening to do it as well. I actually just got a little excited because I just remembered I was gifted a set of knives and hide puller for Christmas and my birthday so I got some new toys to play with.
  9. Interesting, so I had to look it up and yes you can't grow it personally yet. Of course NYS government made it way more complicated than it needs to be. You can't grow it personally until the licensed dispensaries are up and running even then you have to wait 18 months after the first legal sale of marijuana at said dispensaries. April 1, 2022 is the absolute first date that a dispensary can be open so you can't grow it at home until sometime in 2023. My head hurts.
  10. Hopefully with enough time the bucks will be back in the area going about there business as usual. We have seen it happen with the logging that we have done. They leave the area for a bit then return. Good news is clearing the trees should promote new growth which means food for a variety of animals.
  11. I think you can grow it but only a plant or two not an acre or two.
  12. Kids?..... That's an option we have! Lol
  13. Not surprising. That’s how it was when the Tonawanda store went under. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Seems like a plausible explanation.
  15. Why when one democrat does something shitty does it immediately get compared to something shitty a republican does as if that makes it ok. “Well trump did something shitty as well so it’s all good” Like it if not that’s what you sound like. Together, left and right let’s acknowledge the fact that’s it’s not right and hold them all accountable. Maybe we will start getting better people to represent us if we do. 16. That seems like a really good deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I got my start doing it myself about 12-15 years ago after I took a small doe and it seemed foolish to pay $80 to have someone do it for me. I made a phone call to a friend that lived around the block from me at the time and he was at my house the next day with everything needed to process including the grinder. We worked for 5 hours or so on a week night when we both had to work the next morning. I’ll forever be grateful to him for showing me the ropes. He unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago from cancer at an early age. Not to many days go by during the year with out me thinking about him. I still have 2 hangers he brought over that very first day and gave to me because they where his extras hanging in the garage right now just because it seems a shame to ever take them down. I’ll learned a bit more over the years from different people that make it easier or faster but I’ll never forget him coming over and helping me that very first time. 18. I don’t remember who I’ve really extended this offer to before in the past I know @turkeyfeathers is one of them but for any of the WNY guys that want to learn my garage is always open to hang a deer, drink some beers and learn how to do it yourself. I am by no means a professional but I can get the job done. It will usually take me 6 hours by myself to do a deer from start to finish but that’s broken up between 2-3 days including vacuum sealing. Larry I know your well versed in processing so it would be cool to have you along as well as I’d probably learn a thing or two from you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yep and it's been passed down the line to another forum members child.
  20. Honestly for those tame buckle bucks why even bother with the bow? Toss a leash on it and walk it down to the processor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cool pictures, I’m glad you posted them after you mentioned it yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. On the front or rear rack with a bungee. The gas an chain oil goes in a milk crate also on a rack with a bungee. If I run out of room something ends up in my lap while I hold it and just drive slower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have never worked from home and I have never had to work in NYC but I could see myself making a lateral move if that meant I could work from home and I didn’t have to deal with the commute into the City. In that case it wouldn’t be about the money it would be about quality of life adjustment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
