Hopefully with enough time the bucks will be back in the area going about there business as usual. We have seen it happen with the logging that we have done. They leave the area for a bit then return. Good news is clearing the trees should promote new growth which means food for a variety of animals.

I think you can grow it but only a plant or two not an acre or two.

Kids?..... That's an option we have! Lol

Not surprising. That’s how it was when the Tonawanda store went under. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seems like a plausible explanation.

Why when one democrat does something shitty does it immediately get compared to something shitty a republican does as if that makes it ok. “Well trump did something shitty as well so it’s all good” Like it if not that’s what you sound like. Together, left and right let’s acknowledge the fact that’s it’s not right and hold them all accountable. Maybe we will start getting better people to represent us if we do. I got my start doing it myself about 12-15 years ago after I took a small doe and it seemed foolish to pay $80 to have someone do it for me. I made a phone call to a friend that lived around the block from me at the time and he was at my house the next day with everything needed to process including the grinder. We worked for 5 hours or so on a week night when we both had to work the next morning. I’ll forever be grateful to him for showing me the ropes. He unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago from cancer at an early age. Not to many days go by during the year with out me thinking about him. I still have 2 hangers he brought over that very first day and gave to me because they where his extras hanging in the garage right now just because it seems a shame to ever take them down. I’ll learned a bit more over the years from different people that make it easier or faster but I’ll never forget him coming over and helping me that very first time. I don’t remember who I’ve really extended this offer to before in the past I know @turkeyfeathers is one of them but for any of the WNY guys that want to learn my garage is always open to hang a deer, drink some beers and learn how to do it yourself. I am by no means a professional but I can get the job done. It will usually take me 6 hours by myself to do a deer from start to finish but that’s broken up between 2-3 days including vacuum sealing. Larry I know your well versed in processing so it would be cool to have you along as well as I’d probably learn a thing or two from you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep and it's been passed down the line to another forum members child.

Honestly for those tame buckle bucks why even bother with the bow? Toss a leash on it and walk it down to the processor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carrying A Chainsaw On An ATV ??
Moho81 replied to Lawdwaz's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
On the front or rear rack with a bungee. The gas an chain oil goes in a milk crate also on a rack with a bungee. If I run out of room something ends up in my lap while I hold it and just drive slower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I have never worked from home and I have never had to work in NYC but I could see myself making a lateral move if that meant I could work from home and I didn’t have to deal with the commute into the City. In that case it wouldn’t be about the money it would be about quality of life adjustment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Prices are holding me up more than shortages. I’d rather wait until prices come down to do home improvements versus doing them now and I’m not even looking at doing anything crazy just furniture, carpets and paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh man I was hoping your son wasn't around to see it all unfold. Not that you really want or need parenting advice from someone on the internet but I have found that kids handle scary/stressful situations better if you straight up tell them what happened, why you had to go to the hospital and why it wont happen again because you now have medicine that will immediately help. Don't talk to him as a kid talk to him almost as he is an adult.

Woah, that had to have been terrifying for both you and your wife. How are you doing now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It was/is pretty wild I’ve never seen it like this before. I don’t think I’m underestimating when I say millions of them in this small field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, what the heck are these flying ant type things that seem to be coming out of the ground? It’s almost like a hatch on a trout stream. They come out of the ground walk around a bit then fly away. I’m watch softball practice and they are over the entire field and get pretty thick at times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have started to notice an uptick in bee activity recently. Last year when I was at the property in mid September I got a frantic phone call from my wife who was working from home. According to her there where hundreds of bees inside the living room and kitchen. Luckily I had my oldest daughter with me and my youngest daughter was already at her grandparents house. She grabbed the dog and got out of there without getting stung. We had an exterminator come by and after a $500 plus dollar bill the problem was solved. The bees built a nest in the outside wall cavity and somehow our curtain rod got ripped off the wall and that gave them the access point to the inside. The exterminator got stung twice and said that's the most bee's he's ever seen in a wall cavity. Lucky us.

I never watched his tv shows as I’m not a big tv person but I’ll make it a point to watch the movie about his life. I kinda forgot about it to be honest. As I read through kitchen confidential I was just like yep I do that, yep that to, also that. It’s weird how you just do something that everyone else does even though you where never taught to do it. Of that makes any sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I worked in a kitchen through high school and college. Kitchen confidential really spoke to me at that time. I actually just read his last book he wrote before passing and he kinda went back on a lot of what he said in kitchen confidential. I can’t remember it all but he kinda said F’it cook what you like and be you. He took a lot back about what he said about “celebrity chef’s” kind of a complete reversal. I ended up re reading kitchen confidential after that and knowing his end it was hard to read. Really a lot of sings of his troubles in his books. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
