  1. We spent the weekend just east of Cooperstown camping. Got there on Thursday and was suppose to stay until Monday but left a day early because another day of 45 degrees and rain did not sound fun. Non electric camp sight but we do have a hybrid trailer so we where able to hide in that all day Friday while it rained. In the end we made some good family memories and that's what's important. Next trip is at the end of June followed up with another trip just after the July 4th weekend.

  14. I love snakes. Always have since I was a young kid. 2 years ago we had a 3-4’ garter snake chilling out around the pool during the summer. I saw it 3 times and found on of its sheds. All I could think about is how many chipmunks it was killing for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. One thing you can check on yourself is the evaporator coil. If that’s plugged up with dust, pollen etc it won’t cool. I had to clean ours a few years ago and it worked great after the cleaning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Happy Birthday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Neighbors are having a raging bonfire complete with a DJ. it’s a loving memory of his wife who just died of cancer at 39-40 years old. I graduated with her in 1999. She leaves behind twin daughters. One of the guests came over to make sure they where not bothering us and I said absolutely not! Carry on into the night and don’t worry about making any noise. Absolutely heartbreaking as I sit here with my family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. I stopped at the local Eagles club on my way home to sign the books and have a drink. All mask signs have been taken down and not a single mask was worn inside! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. In the contract you can specify the time frame that they can work in your woods. Our contracts always excluded working from October thru December. If I remember correctly the last contract we signed gave the logger 3 years to do the work and he couldn’t work from October thru December every year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I’m at our bowling banquet. No masks for the vaccinated and masks for the non vaccinated. I’d say it’s 70/30 no masks to masks while moving around and no masks while sitting down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I feel as though you already have the most important step started and that is hire an forester to help you decide what your section of woods needs. A good consultant will do it all for you for a fee of course but it's worth it. They help mark the trees to be removed, they help get bids from the loggers, prepare the contact etc. In your contract it should state that the logger has to repair your land back to what it was before their machines destroy the trails there is no way to avoid that but it should be their responsibility to repair it once the job is over. You will have a mess on your hands after they are done. I don't think I have ever been apart of logging where they took the tree tops with them. Some tree tops are a good thing though. They provide food while they still have leaves on them, they provide shelter for smaller animals as well as protect new growth. Unfortunately your version of a tree top and their version of a tree top maybe two entirely different things. In our most recent logging their version of a tree top was about 20'-25' of the tree. It left us with a mess that we will be cleaning up for a couple of years one section at a time.
  25. So how much you selling your old one for?
