    I'm up in a tree and ready to go. It quit snowing a little bit ago and it's all stuck to the brush, it's going to be tough to see much.

    I just got a pic of a good buck wandering behind my house sent to my phone. I might have to brave the crap weather and get out this afternoon.

    If I would have paid attention to the weather better I would have made a plan to be out this morning since it's not supposed to rain for a while it looks like.

    Had a doe coming in as it was getting dark and thought for sure a buck would be with her but I was wrong. Then had some deer come out of the neighbor's corn and into my woods as I was packing up but it was too dark to see what they were.

    Just had a lone anterless deer slip through the buckthorn 50 yards from me. Hopefully a buck around somewhere.

    I'm settled in in 8F. It smelled bucky as I headed in but I had it in my head to go to the other end of the property. Hopefully made the right choice. At least it's not raining.

    Unfortunately for me I have to go clean up some down trees on my place this afternoon. I'd rather go out hunting and not be running chainsaw all over the place but it needs to be done to have the right access trails opened up for getting to stands.

    Just had flock of hens go through. Nine total. Two bearded lady's. One had a pretty long one

    Already a better start today than yesterday. Turkeys just flew down 200 yards out in front of me and had doe and fawn at about ten yards. Come on big guy!

    Gotta love this on your camera 150 yards from where your sitting when it's in the middle of your property. I try to be a nice neighbor and not plaster posted signs all over ever ones back yard but my inner a-hole is about ready to light up the neighborhood with yellow and orange posted signs!

    Nice buck tending doe on my camera's this morning. They passed by a couple of them this morning with him following her closely.

    When I used to have more time to hunt I would keep a log of the action I had from year to year. November 5-12 was always the best with the 7-9 being the hottest as long as the weather was "normal".

    My place is overrun with yotes this year. All night long I get them on my cell cams and hardly any deer. I'm about ready to set up with the caller and rifle some night on my back deck!

    When I had my camp in Steuben county I had tons of black squirrels around. Up where I mostly hunt in Wayne county now I've only seen one on last seven years.

    I haven't been out and don't plan to for a while. It'll be close to Halloween before I get time to. I'm ok with that, it keeps me from burning any of my spots out.

    This buck lost his game of chicken with me this evening. I barely saw him before he hit my truck but I knew he looked like a pretty good buck when he hit. Too bad I'd have rather some lucky hunter could have had a crack at him. Figures, I just bought this truck as a farm truck for 1500 and didn't put comp on it!

    I once saw a gray fox 25 feet up a tree eating wild grapes. It was probably 20 years ago and still one of the coolest things I've seen in the woods. Wow saying 20 years ago is making me feel old!

    Clethodim is definitely sold in NY. It could be restricted though, on that I'm not sure. I probably use 50+ gallons a year. It definitely works better than sethoxydim.
