    Live from work. Saw a really big buck out in a field with a doe this morning when I pulled into the barns today.

    I sat tonight out in my woods and saw 3 adult does and 8 fawns. I shot one of the does. She weighed in at 127 field dressed.

    Clover in the front, corn in the back and swamp to the right. Cams have been pretty slow though so I'm not very optimistic.

    I just took a ride over to my farm and was surprised at the number of vehicles parked in the usual hunter spots. There seems to be quite a few people out during this later season. If the weather cooperates I will give it a try myself this afternoon.

    I bought a Pacifica for my wife about a year ago and she loves it. She said she'd never have a minivan but with the kids it's the way to go.

    My friend didn't see anything and I saw a doe and two fawns. The fawns came out into the open but the doe stayed in the thick stuff.

    A friend and myself are out in my woods. Big does beware. I'm hoping the colder weather gets a few moving early.

    I use about 150 tons of fertilizer a year on the crops I grow. We have been told to expect to pay double next spring. It is going to suck!

    Beauty of a buck! It would be cool to get the sheds this year then kill him next year.

    I went out this evening for a while. I saw 2 deer out in my plot. They both looked like fawns so they got a pass.

    I hunted this evening with a friend at his farm. We saw 3 does and 2 fawns. It took forever for them to get away from the blind so we could get out.

    Thanks for the heads up on the meteors. I just let the dogs out and watched for a few minutes and saw some.

    I have a friend that collects road kills in the winter and stakes them down at his sites. In the past he has set up cams on them and checked the cards every few days but he has gotten into cell cams this year so that will probably help him out some. He switched to all thermal a couple years ago and he says that has made a big difference also.

    I'm in for a sit this afternoon. I wanted to come change batteries on a camera that isn't really in a great spot to hunt tonight but I decided to sit back here anyway. I busted 6 out of their beds while climbing up into the stand so I'm not very optimistic but I have a better chance here than on the couch.

    I bought 2 from phade. They've been out since about the 10th of November and been working great.

    I'm in sitting over a small corn and clover plot surrounded by thick stuff that I haven't sat over yet this year. Haven't had any bucks to speak of on my cameras but you never know I guess.

    I put one of these on the 6.5 prc I bought last year. I'm very happy with it.

    My son and I had a little buck bump a doe and 2 fawns by us. The doe was not amused and hauled ass.

    I have used whitetail institute oat mix and it works for me. The deer on my place eat it and they are very fussy deer. They won't even look twice at a brassica or regular oat plot but will go to the whitetail institute mix.

    My buddy is out with me at my place this morning. No deer seen for either of us yet. There are tons of geese flying over us.

    Not from the woods but took 43 pounds of meet to costanzas today. They are shooting for early January to be done.
