This is the worst part of owning a dog. I would say as others have, when you know you know. I'm not a real sentimental person but putting dogs down I've blubbered like a baby. They really are man's best friend.

First sweet corn is popping.

I noticed a crappie in my pond hovering over a bed this past weekend. One of my boys caught it in no time. It learned quickly though and didn't fall for that again.

Hunting with a buddy on his ground this morning. We can hear one way off that sounds fired up but nothing close. -
I met a guy like that when I was 16 and started going to my uncles hunting camp. He's a guy that I respect more than anyone and am super grateful for his friendship 25 years later even though he's a grumpy old man now.

Ruby red's from me, my brother, and a friend last night. Breaking in my yet to be finished barn.

Started out good where I'm at. Had a tom gobbling on his own early. Then heard another just before fly down. Then I heard hens. Called in the second gobbler twice but couldn't see him because it was too thick.. Had the boss tom at 60 yards for a second. Then 2 jakes came in to me from a different direction. All is quiet now since 6. -

Turkeys gobbling here but none very close -
One of my boys will also be 12 this coming hunting season. I think I will have him using a 6 mm rem that was his gradfathers. I've killed a few deer with it and had no problems with it putting deer down.

Good luck to you and everyone else too. I won't be out long myself because I'll have to get to work spraying in the morning. Because of that I won't be hunting at my house and instead hunting where I saw a tom earlier in the week in an onion field with some hens. I set up a blind this afternoon. Hopefully its still there in the morning!

This is not exactly what I wanted to see on my peaches! -
Great story and what an awsome buck! Great Mount too to stare at and relive it over and over.

Tough stuff to kill. The sedgehammer should knock it back pretty good though.

Nothing like some tender oats to get turkeys hanging out.

I don't have any personal info to add to this but I've talked to my uncle about the windmills in Cohocton. He hunts out of a camp that has them on their property. He said once they got used to them being there you kind of don't even notice it anymore.

I bought mine when I graduated high-school in 97. Then archery and muzzloader after I got my first job out of college in 99. Probably some of the best money I ever spent as far as return on investment.

He's probably busy preparing a legal defense to all the touching accusations.

Nice. I'm jealous. I've been wanting to get a semi 20 for a while now.

Cooked some chicken wings in my traeger this evening. They were delicious!

Nope. Some 12 gauge buckshot did that after I got my dog clear.

My dog with a coyote he tracked for a friend of mine the morning after he shot it and couldn't find it. Dang thing was still alive holed up in a mess of prickers. The dog did awsome. It's so fun to watch him work the trail and do what he's supposed to without any real training on my part.
