    Saw a giant of a buck walking across a cut bean field about an hour ago all by himself in 8F.

    Finally got one of the bucks on camera I've been waiting for. I've been after this buck for a couple years now. He's a smart one!

    Getting pics of this buck chasing doe in my woods this morning. Hopefully next week I can get out hunting a bit.

    My cameras have been dead the last 2 nights. I did however have a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old both on camera yesterday after sun up. I still have yet to get one of the slammer bucks that used my place a lot last season on my cams that I know are still around because my hunting buddy a mile away got pics of them this summer.

    There's also a few honorable mentions. The mounted one ran by me once when I was a teenager. A neighbor kicked him up trailing a 4 point he hit. The one in the snow I got into a stand near there shortly after the picture was taken and never saw it til I got home that night.

    This buck was on my current property when I bought it about 9 years ago. I never saw him in person and know he made it through hunting season but never got a pic of him after Christmas.

    Went out and threw up a couple more cameras today. While I was out I decided to check a couple of my stands. Good thing I did. One of my better spots had a broken strap.

    Nice view. Just out of curiosity how big is the lease you guys have out there?

    I think this must be just a regular old house cat but it sure does look awful big. Also haven't ever seen one that looks like this around the house.

    Nice. I get pics of this one no less than 4 days a week in this same spot always in the morning. It's in for a rude surprise once I get a little free time.

    This is from November first last year. The only time in 25 years of hunting ive gotten a deer on my birthday. This is my hunting buddy that's been hunting with me for all of those years helping with the blood trail.

    My son decided he wasn't ready to get out yet. I'm a little disappointed but I'm not going to force him into it. Hopefully he'll change his mind and get out during regular season.

    My trail cameras are basically my scouting. I work so much from late August til November I don't hardly have a chance to go out in the woods. At least that way I have an idea of what might be around. It certainly doesn't dictate where I would hunt though. That's all based off wind direction.

    I will be taking my 13 yr old son out for his first time being allowed to shoot a deer. He told me he wants to shoot a 6 pointer or bigger. I told him he can shoot anything he wants if decides any different when we actually see a deer. We'll see how it goes. I just ran out to my blind and put out 2 new fold out chairs and got soaked.
