  1. This bill has gone to the Codes Committee. Steve has listed a few of the members above. Here is the entire list. Be sure to start with Joe Lentol. http://assembly.state.ny.us/comm/?sec=mem&id=7
  2. I would like to see the northern gun season shortened personally.
  3. I would stick the whisple pig just for the practice.
  4. I would like to believe that it's real but there is too much controvesy.
  5. Wow! When started this I figured this topic was a no brainer. For anyone to say that I shouldn't sit in a ground blind with my 12 year old daughter and teach her about the outdoors really needs to re-evaluate themselves. Thank you FanTail for helping me spread the word. The rest of you if you havn't yet, don't forget to write in.
  6. When I was waiting for my new Hoyt to come in I had a chance to try an Elite bow. These things are AWESOME! They will probably be my next bow.
  7. I know a lot is on our minds lately with our State Government but something has passed that is worth noting. Our State Senate has passed bill S177A that would lower the age to archery hunt from age 14 to age 12. If you truly believe that quality time with our kids is time spent in the woods then I urge you to contact your Assemblyman to support S177A.
  8. I sold my 2-blades. I hated the damned things. I sit in a ground blind most of the time and everytime I bumped my bow or the arrow the blades would deploy. Very undependable. Stick with fixed blades that you know will never fail to deploy.
  9. I have 22 acres with my house. It isn't the greatest land for hunting deer but it aaaaaalllllllllll mine.
  10. I have a fixed blade Buck knife. My dad has a folding Case. When he's gutting deer he gets blood and such inside the lower half of the knife and it's wicked hard to clean.
  11. Get out and go perch fishing!
  12. One more thing I might add is a refurbished scope is gone over by a human more than once. They double check it before it goes out the door. I bought a refurbished Nikon range finder about 3 years ago from Natchez. It has worked great and I got it for about half price.
  13. Caz or Hamilton? I grew up in Hamilton. I return there to hunt all the time.
  14. I read about this in a different article. These people have no doubt that cougars that were peoples pets are running wild but the eastern species itself is now extinct.
  15. I see that they are American made and that impresses me. Who here shoots a Beaman arrow and why do you like them over other arrows.
  16. I have the itch SOOOO bad ??? I cannot wait for nice weather so I can get outside and shoot.
  17. I couldn't have said it better myself. But I will add one more thing. KIDS! Bowhunting has allowed me to take my kids out with me AND THEY SEE DEER! I have taken my kids gun hunting with me 4 times. They freeze and have not seen a deer in 3 years. I put my kids in a pop-up blind with me. Want to try a new rush? Try the experience of the look on your kids faces when they have a doe feeding 10-20 yards away from them. WITHOUT a single doubt, bowhunting has secured my kids love of hunting. As they say in the commercials....PRICELESS!
  18. I got a new bow last year. I bought a Hoyt Turbohawk when they offered the rebates. For $500 and shooting almost 300 fps I don't plan to get a bow for many years to come. I am looking to get both of my kids a new bow this year. Just having a tough time choosing right now. I am leaning towards the new Bear youth bow.
  19. My Godson uses his phone. I believe its a Droid. Why buy a GPS when you can use a phone app.
  20. I belong to SASS and do cowboy action shooting. My SASS alias is Ranger Clayton Conagher, Ranger Clay for short.
  21. Matt, glad that you were not hurt seriously
  22. I didn't have any archery mentors either when I started about 5 years ago. The best thing I ever did was join a winter league. It made me shoot more, it gave me an opportunity talk with other archers, it gave me to see other bows and equipment, and most of all it gave me a chance to work on and develop my form which is sooooo important.
