  1. Thanks everyone. I will give the string leeches a try.
  2. Don't forget Herb Phillipsons. I was pricing a T/C ML at Gander Mtn and Herb's had it beat by $100. I just bought some bowhunting gloves. GM $19.99, Herb's $14.95 Not a huge selection but gooooood prices.
  3. I was practicing the other night when I looked down and saw one of my string silencer laying on the deck. It was the original that came with my Hoyt. I'm going to look into something new. What have you had success with on your bow?
  4. I have a QAD Ultra HD. I love it! I will never got back to a WB again.
  5. When I was waiting for the bow I ordered to come in I made the mistake of trying an Elite bow. They are awesome and will probably be my next bow.
  6. Just remember that it will DQ you from a Pope & Young entry.
  7. I stopped by to ask about a product and read the other cover scent thread. Well, I'm not interested in leaving my clothes in a barn. I was wondering if anyone has tried Ever Calm? From what I have read, it has a few good reviews and is made fresh every year. Has anyone here tried it? If so, did you use the stick or the bottle?
  8. Anyone want to swap a 7J for a 7M?? Shoot me a PM.
  9. Get their rewards card and you will get some great coupons. I like Dicks better than Gander Mtn. because at least Dicks will have good sale every week. Nothing is ever marked down at Gander.
  10. I like the way you think Matt!
  11. From what I hear, Blood Runners also will be added to the banned list.
  12. Exactly!! I bought some these damn things and they would always pop open when they were not supposed to. I sold them as fast as I could. I got some Epik EC-3's and I like them better than the Rage but I am sticking with fixed blades from now on.
  13. No scouting yet but I have started shooting my bow.
  14. DING DING DING!!!!! We have a winner!!!! Does the name Chai Vang ring a bell? Most of you older hunters probably remember it. It does everytime I confront a trespasser or have a problem with some wingnut in the woods. Get their name, license number, anything but avoid the name calling and swearing in the woods..
  15. I go with a light coat but I have several layers underneath starting with UA Cold Gear. Take a look at Dick's they have some affordable light weight coats (Usually Field & Stream brand) usually on the last week in August for bow season.

    Ouch

I did that once. I tried a bow that was an inch longer than my draw length. Had my arm straight to get the full draw. Have someone take a picture of you at full draw and we could critique your form.
  17. Last summer a buddy of mine got a Bear Charge. I was really impressed with the quality of this bow for the price and it come completely set-up from Dick's & BPS. It's a real shooter for the price and all it really needs is some Simms or some other noise dampening.
  18. Thanks! I have been shopping for a quiver as well. You just shortened my list. What did you dislike about it?
  19. Can you spray round up on wet grass? It stopped raining about 3 hours ago but its still damp.
  20. This plan looks good for the southern tier. But look at the next page it really stinks for us northern bow hunters. As it stands now, if you don't have a bow tag leftover from last year you have to wait until the kids and poachers are done shooting up the woods before we can go bow hunting on a weekend. >
  21. I believe if you knock it down it becomes baiting. :-X
