The highlight of this season was when I harvested a small doe in early October. I got the deer behind my house. I called home and had my kids come track the deer, help me gut it and drag the deer out. They loved every moment of it and its a memory I will treasure forever. Low was the only buck that came near my stand made me when I was bored and playing with my cell phone. I could have thrown that phone a mile.

I was hunting in Madison County (Hamilton area) last weekend. There was VERY little deer movement and almost no rut activity. This is an area that is normally distroyed with buck rubs this time of year and I had trouble finding one. I hope the rut starts soon here.

In 29 years of hunting I have lost one back tag. Cost me $5 to replace it. Big deal. I wear mine on my back up north and down south. Its blaze orange and I like have having it back there in my blind side.

Fantail, the ECO I chatted with was very nice and felt for what happened to me. He informed me that without catching the perp in the act, there is nothing I can do. Now my stand is set up on an old log road. I believe the perp was using it to get to the main road. I'm going to set up an IR trail cam but not looking over the treestand, he would expect that. I'm going up the trail a little father and see if I can catch him walking out again. This POS thinks he's gotten away with this and I will bet anything that he will come by again to see his handywork. Then I will at least have him red handed trespassing.

You have to believe that there will two Gov. in office. Andrew AND his POS worthless father Mario. Just when I got the bad taste of Mario Cuomo out of my mouth now I have the boy who will be asking daddy what to do all the time. Be ready for a two-headed serpent for your next Gov. Paladino is already 36 points behind Cuomo. No he does not have a chance. People focus on your senate and assembly seats. Don't give Cuomo a free ticket to do whatever. Vote in Republican Patty Richie and others that may change the balance of power at the capital.

Sorry I took some phone pics with my phone but I deleted them after I showed them to a ECO. Try to imagine the lower price ladder stands with a basic seat. Below that is your platform. It is bolted to the ladder then the platform goes back and has two brackets that go up to the seat. The bolts that go into the ladder were messed with. If I had stepped on it in the dark I believe the one screw that was left would have popped and the front of the platform would have tipped down. Granted because I would still be climbing I would have grip on the side rails but you never know. LOL! I went bow hunting on opening day near Williamstown 2 years ago. The mosquitoes drove me nuts!!!
