  1. I've tried four times today to get this thing to work. I get all of my personal information loaded then it craps out every time I try to enter my pistols. Any advice?
  2. Just checking. Would hate to see you lose a piece of history.
  3. "Let's go, it's daylight in the swamp". Used to hear that all the time in hunting camp.
  4. Make sure you have a magazine that holds only 4 shells or the DEC will have it.
  5. Ok, I finally got a few minutes to stop by and share this picture. What do see for a rack on this deer. I wish he had taken one more step. Looks like he's got a club on his head. It sure is different.
  6. I simply love my Centerpoint Sniper 370. The stock is adjustable so it can fit any member of the family. The arrows that come with it are not the greatest but with the money you save you can buy some something better. I've killed 3 deer (2 bucks and 1 doe) in the last two years with it.
  7. I got two deer with my 370 this year, a buck and doe. Both deer were less than 20 yards and never heard the stock make noise. I do plan to have some of the creep taken out of the trigger this summer. I have no plans to trade this in for a more expensive model. This thing is fun!!
  8. Ticks were the worst ever during October in Madison County. Buy Sawyers!!!
  9. For years I've bought HS laundry soap for all of my camo. Now all I can find is camo laundry soap for the HE (High Efficiency) machines. I don't think it's getting my clothes as clean. Is anyone discovering this problem? Should I double the amount of soap for a regular washer?
  10. I took my daughter deer hunting last week and you would swear she had rolled in the burdocks. I've been picking at it one little strand at a time for over an hour and have much more to go. They seem to be burrowed right into the outer shell of her jacket. Does anyone have a secret method for removing these things? I did try duct tape but that did very little.
  11. Nice. I put one up Saturday as well. Met a nice 3 point walking in. I'd lose the red straps so thieves cannot zero in on your stand.
  12. I've owned the same T/C caplock for 30+ years and I'm looking to upgrade. I don't ML hunt more that 2-3 days every year so I don't want to drop a lot of $$$. I've looked them all over and the Pursuit G4 fits me well. I would like to hear how other Pursuit owners like theirs plus any changes you have added to your Pursuitjkkhjk. Please don't tell me to go buy something else. I want to hear from the Traditions folk right now. Thanks.
  13. I might be interested. what year was it purchased? Why are you selling it and how much use has it seen?
  14. Remember Sunday the 27th is a free pass at the NYS Fair when you show your hunting or fishing license at the gate. To top it off Lynyrd Skynyrd is playing for free in Chevy Court. It's a double win win!!!
  15. Don't forget that check is income! Uncle Sam will want his cut at tax time.
  16. I've had voles eat dead mice in my traps. Chew the heads off and take just the body.
  17. I got an email from the NYS Fair today. Something new they are adding is a bass tournament on August 27th. Subsequently they are offering this, Admission to the Fair on Aug. 27 is free for those who show a valid sporting license at the gate. Attendees are also encouraged to stop by the DEC Pavilion to purchase their hunting or fishing license. Anyone who buys a sporting license at the fair will be automatically entered into a random drawing to win a Great New York State Fair lifetime pass. It happens to be the day we are going. My whole family will get in for free!!!!!!!
  18. I am still very pleased with my 370. I bought some Black Eagle Executioners and I shot a 5 point at 20 yards two weeks after I got it. I especially like that it can be de-cocked so I don't have to discharge it every time. I did not attach my quiver to the bow, I didn't want the extra weight. I keep my arrows on a pack quiver. Check out the 370 videos from Field Archer.
  19. That was some of the juice I picked up the day I met you. Glad you enjoyed it.
  20. The 2015 deer season was my daughters first year. I set her up in what I thought was a good spot and I moved a couple hundred yards away. She saw only one deer but still had a good time. Still I wanted to make it better. Fast forward to September 2016. I figured since I was seeing bucks on my watch last year I would install a double treestand and hopefully I would put her on a buck. So I asked you guys for your opinion on double treestands and out of the blue Cabin Fever (aka Bob) said he would gladly give me a double treestand, all I had to do was come get it. I met Bob in the Finger Lakes and I only wish we had longer to talk. We were both passing on our way to something else we had to do. Super nice guy! A few weeks later I set it up. Fast forward to opening weekend of southern tier gun season. If you recall Saturday was a hot day and Sunday was snowy. Saturday passed with very few deer showing up. We saw a few deer but nothing close. The deer really were not moving. Sunday rolled around and I knew the snow would get the deer on their feet and boy were they ever. We had several does moving all around us. I knew something was going to happen. We had several deer above us on a ridge but we could not make out if they were bucks or does. Abi suggested that I use my grunt tube. So I gave it a round of tending grunts. All of a sudden a deer ran up from the bottom and stopped 75 yards in front of us. We both scoped it and it was a 1-1/2 year old doe. I lifted my head and whispered it's a doe. Abi, still on the deer asked if she could shoot it. I started to say "Yeah" but all I got out of my mouth was the letter Y and BANG. The deer mule kicked and ran out of sight down hill. Before we had a chance to high-5 a deer comes running up from the bottom and lays down 20 yards from the stand on my side. I told Abi that it was probably her deer and we should wait. We gave it some time and it wasn't dying so I put a shot in the neck. Abi's shot was a little back, she destroyed the liver. Then the celebration began, "I can't breath" were the first words out of her mouth. We hugged and I was more of a basket case then she was. We climbed down and first went to where she shot the deer so she could track it. We took lots of pictures and I showed her how to gut the deer. Since the drag was down hill on snow I let her drag it out. So a BIG THANK YOU BOB! You made my daughters first deer a reality. I sent you a bottle in the mail yesterday of Hulbert's Holiday White. It is best served ice cold. I apologize for the delay but with two teenagers involved in everything possible at school I don't get on the computer as much as I used to. Here are some pictures, your photo loader turned a couple of them sideways. Not sure how to fix that.
  21. I'm trying to decide what to use because my 100gr. Slick Tricks won't fly true. Are you using crossbow heads or are you using regular archery broadheads? What are you having luck with?
  22. I bought mine a couple weeks ago off ebay for $279.00. It shoots amazing! If you can tolerate a 1/4" of trigger creep, everything else is top notch!
