  1. I served 15 years as an Cruelty Investigator, NYS-CCSPCA. I enjoyed this job, investigated hundreds of cases, a few ended up in court, mostly the owners needed education. This was a Part-time position that turned into a full-time position. Our County needs an Investigator but again it all comes back to Money$$$. The Police and Sheriff's Dept, just don't have enough time to devote to all animal cases.
  2. Same as yours, never failed me, no need to change
  3. The Red Flag Law isn't well thought out, too many loop holes.
  4. I have hunted all over NYS, never seen anything like that. Maybe another hunter just playing a joke.
  5. I hunt and hike in a pair of Corcoran Jump Boots, not insulated. Never had any issue about cold feet, but I have waterproofed them to hell and back.

  7. Puzzles, give me one helluva headache!!! I'm alone, so my days are weight lifting, washing dishes and cleaning up, computer time, reloading for my firearms, selling Amsoil Products from home, walking feeding my chickens, taking photos, and some times, zeroing in my rifles to a fine edge. Maybe catch a show on roku, even though I sleep through it after the first ten minutes.

  10. Not exercising your right to vote is an act of surrender, not one of rebellion!! New York City should never control Upstate New York, we need everyone to get out and exercise their right to vote. I'm afraid our rights are being taken away, one chip at a time. I am a member of New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, have been for a long time. Every God loving American Citizen of the State of New York, that enjoys our great outdoors, should get out and Join this Association, to help them ensure our right to the Second Amendment as written. They are fighting in the Courts to win this battle that attacks our Second Amendment and they need our support. Join the good fight and let us all move forward and preserve our rights now and forever! Let us all hit the ground with our boots on and WIN this battle for now and ever!! WE THE PEOPLE control the State Government by our VOTING!!! Don't ever forget this!!!! HOO-AH
  11. ATTENTION TO ALL We need to get out and vote in all elections, to make our voice heard. We The People control the State and Federal Governments by our right to vote. We The People can change the direction our State and Federal Governments by getting out each and every election and voting. Not voting isn't an act of rebellion, it's an act of surrender, make no doubt about it. New York State needs a change in leadership!!! Lets make this year go down in history as one the People Stood Up and VOTED!!
  12. This one action proves beyond any reasonable doubt THAT WE AS SPORT PERSONS must VOTE at all elections and not just sit at home. Our combined voice must be heard in Albany, New York!!!!!
  13. My Daddy taught me at a very tender age, how to process deer or any game, from start to finish. Never had a problem with, skinning, cleaning the insides out and cutting the meat up. Advantage of growing up on a big farm. Never once did I get a upset stomach!! Just very much enjoyed the game on the dinner table.

Prep Time25 mins Cook Time3 hrs 30 mins Total Time3 hrs 55 mins Course: Dinner Cuisine: American Servings: 6 - 8 people Author: Sarah | Curious Cuisiniere Ingredients 3 Tbsp unsalted butter 4 lb venison roast (or beef shoulder roast) 1 Tbsp salt 1 tsp ground black pepper 2 onions, cut in half and quartered 6 large potatoes, cut into 1” cubes 10 carrots, cut into 1” chunks 1/4 c unbleached all-purpose flour (plus an additional 1/4 c if necessary, added at the end) 2 (12 oz) bottles beer (dark lager style is best) 2 c vegetable or beef stock (we prefer low sodium) 1 Tbsp tomato paste 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 Tbsp mustard powder 1 tsp thyme Instructions Season roast with salt and pepper. In a 2 gallon or larger Dutch oven or soup pot melt 1 Tbsp butter. Add the roast and sear on all sides over medium-high heat, 1-2 minutes per side. Remove the roast from pot. Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining 2 Tbsp butter. Melt butter and add onions. Saute until golden brown, 3-5 minutes. Add potatoes and carrots, saute 1-2 minutes. Add flour and stir until moistened. Stir in beer, stock, tomato paste, brown sugar, mustard powder, and thyme. Mix well. Add the roast back to pot, nestling it among the vegetables. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and cover the pot. Simmer for 3 hours. Thirty minutes before serving, remove the lid from the pot. If the stew looks too brothy, place ¼ c of flour in a small bowl. Ladle ½ – ¾ c of broth from the pot into the flour and whisk until no lumps remain. Pour mixture into the stew and stir to incorporate. Continue to simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly

HOW TO COOK A VENISON ROAST SO IT DOESN’T TASTE GAMEY We often run into people who aren’t a fan of deer meat. And, while everyone is entitled to their own preferences, we often find that these people have had an unfortunate run-in with some poorly cooked venison. This one experience often sits firmly in their mind as something that needs not be repeated. Spring Recipes From Around The World Play Video The thing is, venison is a different kind of meat that needs a little extra care in the kitchen. Venison is lean. Deer don’t have the marbling that cattle do, so cooking it like beef isn’t going to work too well. CHOOSING A COOKING METHOD FOR VENISON The cooking method for venison really depends on the cut you are using. Tenderloins and loins – Quickly sear or grill to 130F and let rest 10 minutes before serving. Shoulders and roasts – Braise low and slow (around 130F) for several hours. HOW TO TENDERIZE VENISON In addition to choosing the right cooking method, it’s a good idea to add ingredients to your rub or marinade that will tenderize your venison. Salt in rubs helps to break down proteins and improve the texture of the venison. When marinating, you can use any number of acidic ingredients to help tenderize the meat while infusing it with flavor. Vinegar or alcohol are two of our favorites. (Like this recipe for Red
  18. Confirmed coronavirus cases reach one million worldwide The number of confirmed coronavirus cases across the globe reached one million on Thursday, according to tracking by Johns Hopkins University. There have been more than 50,000 reported deaths from the virus so far, including thousands in the United States, China, Iran and large numbers in such European countries as Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom.
