    My Grandfather and Uncle taught me everything. Sadly, Uncle moved away and grandfather developed Alzheimer’s so never got to do deer together but did squirrel all the time. Very nice memories to say the least

    Once you start to panic, all reason is lost so you have to maintain your composure. However, that is easier said then done when one truly believes they’re lost and potentially may result in their demise

    Been confused a few times myself but never for more than a few hours Thank God. When I go in , I always make sure I have 2 compasses, a map and am cognizant of my direction entering and which way I need to go to head out. When in doubt, check out the direction of the local roads too cuz if you can make it out to the road, it may be a long walk back to the truck but you WILL get there. Happy Easter to all

    Windy and rain is good if you wanna do some still hunting but miserable when your sitting on stand or in a blind

    Yes, awesome story, thank you for sharing!! Im not a big believer in rattling as I am of the opinion that its a bit overdone today; every hunting showfeatures the practice, tons of mag articles etc. and its kind of become "gimmicky" . However, I stand corrected , well done!!

    Growing up, I used to fish the osgood river just below Meachem lake ; my grandfather had one of those old platform camps around Hays Brook; what part of region 5 is that? Thanks, David

    Well said Shaun, I agree 100%! If Im out and seeing and marking squirrels which the vast majority of the time, the call is unnecessary; if not, then it may be worth a shot

    Calls and rattling can be overdone these days IMHO; not saying they dont ever work but I think in heavily pressured areas, the deer become wise to the sounds
