oneida lake walleye regs may need some change if in fact the population is too high like they say, i have noticed alot less shad/ baitfish this may be due to high walleye populations but i wish they would do a size slot limit with the 5 keepers ...i do like the 3 fish as it stands but from my fishing results last 2yrs there is a ton of eyes in the lake , over populated well im not the guy to say.

well my land has 1,000 of acres of state land close to it and i took several drives around on the state land and saw very very few hunters this year,,, and not alot of shots heard, so less hunters but deer populations looked great

gotta say i have had some disagreements on this site and i was never 100% correct and perhaps a bit over zealous but dam when two hunters cant just say glad you had a good season and congrats and good luck next year we dont gotta worry about tree huggers and anti's giving us a hard time, to each there own -
the stuff i get from TS has surfactant in it already, its 41%concentrate

I dont think it hurts ontario at all as far as perch populations the vast majority of the lake is untouched for perch fishing and as far as ice that is limited to as the majority of ontario never sees ice, and its a huge body of water, inland lakes def can be over fished

agree read the bill like 4 times and there is sub section 3 of the new law and it does address off indian owned land that they can be ticketed but still seems vague and not black and white at least to me. Also lots of Indian land borders oneida lake thats for sure, so if they are on there land on shore catching eyes by the bucket in april out of the canal then what? ugh
-
ok i went over it and im confused it says, i think, game laws can be enforced off native land as long as it reasonable necessary conservation measures but as long as it dosnt discriminant against native americans .... WTF does that mean ugh .... seems like lots of loop holes at the minimum ,,, thanks for posting
-
i dont think it changed anything for perch 25 sunfish/bluegill statewide then some special regs for sunfish/gills on certain bodies of water Crappie i think goes to ten inches , ,,,,Also huntandfish pretty sure that has only to do with indian owned land and really thats been the norm as long as i can re-call native land has always been off limits to encon etc....not 100% sure but thats what i understood

Do deer go completely nocturnal during late season?
land 1 replied to Northcountryman's topic in Deer Hunting
Thank god 153 can hunt TROPHY states since according to him NY is bad and everything is wrong about hunting in NY like he said in the past shorten gun season , no xbow , no extra loader no early seasons, AR, oh but archery season is just fine .... hmmm so take away from others is good but don't mess with the archery ok ,,,,lol.... I dont know all the over whelming pressure from nasty gun hunters in the super long gun season didnt stop me seeing about 20 deer last two days this was on state and private that borders state -

St. Lawrence county (cranberry lake)
land 1 replied to Nyhunter1992's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Why another state he said his main concern was timber investment, hard to beat price per acre up that way plus the mature hardwoods and the large acreage he's looking for, Would agree with you if his main goal was deer then southern tier western part of state -
St. Lawrence county (cranberry lake)
land 1 replied to Nyhunter1992's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
after november Big n Beasty early fall oats and clover spring threw early fall, up in that area nice bucks but the winter kill can be brutal cranberry lake area right in lake effect territory farther north towards the river not as bad -
great season great stories best thing on the site happy xmas and new year
-
Better communication you say this comes from the guy who says people that don't agree with him are "ignorant" "dishonest" laughable" who seems to think all other seasons should be shortened but archery and everyone other then archers need to loose time in the woods. I do think as a hunting community more communication and open minds to other peoples ideas is not a bad thing. I could see specific areas that would benefit from some change but as a whole i still like NY hunting as is over all ....
-
Do you me country or county could you please proof read before making comments on others typos , punctuation etc...
-
lol yeah ok great argument not to discuss something. Just attempt to insult the other guy with something that has nothing to do with the topic....feel free not to respond pleaseeeee

So let bowhunters only no x bow, no gun, no loader, enjoy the ability to hunt the rut ? sounds fair....and i know anyone can go bowhunt but maybe they cant for some reason or maybe they dont enjoy bowhunting.
-
Why is that if some one dosnt agree with you and your take of hunting they are lying and dishonest. I understand where u come from and dont agree but i get your point and stance but you draw a line in the sand understanding others and state they are laughable and dishonest people have various views on many things just because some disagrees or has a different stance makes them dishonest and laughable ?
-
gotta disagree yeah its a factor but going to camp with the guys seeing deer enjoying my land shooting some deer getting some meat for freezer honestly if what drives me is shooting a 3.5+ hell in maybe 30 plus yrs of hunting ive only got maybe 10 deer 3.5 and up loved that i got a nice one when it happens but wouldn't still be hunting if that was my ultimate drive and goal and wouldnt hunt areas where i know the chances are slim hell maybe im just a lil old school enjoy the outdoors enjoy the woods hunt hard and fair and be happy when you score and be happy for the next guy,,,,
-
Yup everyone is ignorant for having there own beliefs and enjoying the outdoors and hunting the way they want BUT you 153 you just know whats better for everyone else ,,, and yes everyone i would guess would rather shoot a 3.5 over 1.5 but thats not what drives them to hunt and still can have plenty of satisfaction if they dont get the big rack or mature buck....
