I cannot believe these guys can get in so easily. I'm on several forums and they never have this problem, so there's definitely a solution to avoid these spammers. No clue what that is, way above my pay grade. Thinking maybe it's a costly fix and that's why it's continuing?

Can't remember. IIRC, it was featured on man fire food.

I've actually been to 1 place they have had on the show. Its was a couple years ago, and I can remember the name of the place. I know it was in Stockbridge MA. Or maybe that was Man, fire, food.??? I'm a BBQ, smoker connoisseur. I really enjoy the smoking of foods. Particularly whole hog. Enjoy the feedback I get from clients. This is the last one I did last fall. Few booked for the last part of this summer. One client wants a 175# er.,.. thats going to be a tight fit. Lol

I've often thought about doing that, but never did. Had a forkhorn chase a house cat out of the field, so maybe a cat deek? Lol.

Mother load for sure.

I had faith in you.

Nope. . Looks just right.

Moerls n leeks... Never had morels before, and I was lucky enough to find 4 the other day. Grabbed some fresh dug leeks too. Made a simple rue. Butter, flour, chicken stock. Didn't have any fresh garlic, so had to use garlic powder. Absolutely love the texture and flavor of the morels. Will definitely pick every one I find.

Pretty much same as I do mine. I do simmer the picking spice in a cup of water to release the oils. Let it cool then put that into the brine. Looking forward to the slicing pics.

We got tired of listening to gobbling across the road, so we headed over there. Got within 150 yrds of him. Answered my clucks and purs, and he proceeded to walk away and across the road where we just came from. This bird is seriously call shy..

Beautiful morning, although no talking near us. My nephew has a doe hounding him. I can see her running over to him and stomp her hoof, then run away. And repeat. Lol. She definitely has little ones close by. No rain yet...

Sitting on the edge of the field where I've been seeing a tom. Put my nephew on the other side. Trying to ambush the tom. About stepped on a fawn walking in. Seen a fawn yesterday hiding under a fence I was mowing around. Looks like we picked the wrong field.. bird hammering across the road on other side of property.

WTF... Simple... Why can't there be something in place to block them? Don't tell me it cost$$$$.

OMG. I love vastrami. Make 20+ # a yr. It's SOO good. What was your recipe?

Yep..

Your not the only one.. I wore out a pair of boots last weekend looking for em. Hop on the mower, and I find em. Just hate to think of how many of them I've chopped up with the mower over the yrs. Lol

Last week I found 2 morells on the edge of a client's lawn. Unfortunately both got damaged beyond use by the mower. Today I found 4 in a gravel path going from two lawn areas. I can finally get to taste these things.

They will frequent the fields as that's were the hens will be. Even if the hens and nesting, they will be strutting, displaying in the fields near where the hens nests. You might not be able to call them in, but a ambush is the best option.

TF, we must have gone to different high Schools together. That was good. Lol.

You luck dog . Good luck to all involved. I've been fortunate enough to harvest two bears with the bow ( compound) in Maine. They were around 120 dressed. Not huge, but I more than happy with those. Also, I absolutely love bear meat. It's delicious.

She just texted me. Didn't have a pic, but the thing about followed her into the house. I'm thinking this little guy was found as a fawn and raised in a pen. May have escaped or been dropped off.

Sister just sent me this pic. Seems a BB has been hanging around her place. Even sniffed her hand. She said it's full of ticks.

I've had a 'Chuck stew at a game dinner yrs ago. Was tasty, but tuff.

Way to go TF. Gotta love those classic hunts.
