When I was a kid, I'd jump off the bus, toss my books on the garage floor, and grab a fishing pole or bb gun. Creeks, ponds, ant hills, spider webs were my video games.
Good lord.. looks FAKE. Not saying it is..
The couple I've taken (fall hunts) or personally seen that others have taken had very thin beards with only several strands.
Holy crap. I'm thinking the concrete was too green. To much moisture in it, and the heat turning it to steam. It couldn't escape, and BOOM.. Or a air pocket.
The farm I've been hunting since 1997 had a "almost" albino buck. His brisket area was the only color he had on him .
In '98 he was taken opening day of gun. He was a very spindle 8pt.
We did see a pibald doe for a couple yrs after, but don't know what happened to her.
According to the article posted, the B&C did score it and is in the process of excepting the score and it will be the #3 NT buck.
So it's looking like it wasn't a fenced deer.
Question for all you guys saying you wouldn't shoot it. If you went on a hunt and this deer stepped in front of you, you would let it walk? I'm talking a legit hunt that you vetted the outfitter and are confident your hunting wild free range deer...
If I went by what I've seen in the woods, anything over 130" would have to be a fence deer.
If it's a fenced deer, so be it, but those that are "claiming" it to be because it's not anything they've seen or "it's got to be" because of the size, proove it.. its possible it was a fair chase hunt.
