  1. Wilderness... I thank your uncle and you for your service. My father was wounded in WWII in ' 43 and discharged shortly after. He rarely would talk about his time overseas, but regretted not being active during D Day. He mentioned loosing many friends that day. Sad this thread only has 2 other Posts. A generation forgotten by many, but not by me... Thanks for the post. God bless those that sacrificed their lives, so we could post on this forum. Thanks Dad, I love you.
  2. From one Rob to the next..... You've got this. Don't let a little water pump stand in the way of the inevitable. Hold her hand and guide her through this "speed bump". Reassure her that your love for each other will overcome any obstacles that are thrown at you two. Congrats two booth of you. Please post a pic of the happy couple.
  3. I've got a single shot 20 H&R with a 28" barrel, 3" mag. Also have a Rem 1187 NWTF 12g with a 24" (IIRC) and a Rem 870 12g with a 30" both 3” mag. Can't tell any difference noise wise, but the single shot H&R is definitely lighter.
  4. Wow. That really stinks. Hopefully you'll have a banner season and a locked and alarmed freezer.
  5. Just install the app on your new phone and log in.
  6. I'm the opposite, I've got several high end stihls in my boneyard that aren't working fixing. Some only lasted 2 yrs. Won't buy another one. Can stand em. My Redmax keep running. Got 3 of em. The one is probably 5 yrs old. It's the largest one they made at the time. Use that one with a blade or for the really nasty stuff. Mid size and the smaller one are 3 yrs old and running great.
  7. Lying in bed and listening to turkeys gobbling. Haven't heard or seen one around the house since around the first week of the season. They know that there safe. Lol
  8. If u watch closely, just before the video switched from looking out the back of the car, you can see the car was moving very slowly. I think the bike had two people on it. The passenger is the one that went flying.
  9. My wife will have 32 yrs in a state job when she retires at 55 in 7 yrs. We've got a very modest home worth around 150k. Our taxes on 1.8 a is almost $2500. Our mortgage will be PD off in 7 yrs. So we'll be able to sell our current home and move South with enough $ to pay cash for a home with a lot more land with taxes a lot less. Lived in NY all my life, except for a 4 yr stint in Ohio when dad's job got transferred. Looking forward to the next chapter. Tennessee, and northern VA are on our list. Going to be a long 7 yrs.
  10. I agree it depends on what you want to smoke and how & fuel type. You could build a horizontal offset stick burner if you like the idea of going old school. What size tank is it?
  11. Thank you. Definitely going to try these. Might do a second batch with some smoked hard-boiled eggs. My wife won't be too please, lol
  12. I'm definitely going to try these. How long? Couple hrs?
  13. So how do you build those? Doesn't the cream cheese melt out during the smoking?
  14. Neat idea for wild turkey. Gonna have to steal this from ya...
  15. Rented a wallenstein few times. Ran it on my 29hp at the shaft JD. It was a large model that recommend 30+ hp to run it. I'd did ok, but I definitely could have used more HP.
  16. Fired up "Elizabeth Ann" ( named to honor Mom). From left to right... 4 Rib eyes.. 2 Chuck steaks... For poor man's burnt ends. 16# Angus brisket And one chicken. Going on later will be a rack of SL cut ribs, and mac-n-cheese.
  17. Guess my neighbor 3 doors down also seen boo boo. His dog was inside, but wasn't happy about the bear was attacking the bird feeder. Bear didn't stay long once his dog noticed the intruder.
  18. Columbia county. Near the mass border. Rained most of the day. Only 60*
