    PA trip

I don't have any children, only niece's and nephew's, and one step rat that I'm so proud of, but she wants nothing to do with the hunting or the outdoors. My fondest memories are with my nephew's taking their first deer and sharing it with there grandparents (my brother and his wife). Enjoy those moments and cherish the memories. I remember my first hunting experience's like they happened yesterday.
  2. I've passed at least a couple dozen opportunities at does and smaller bucks. I only need 30 to 40 lbs of venison for myself. My 7 niece's and nephew's, and my brother and sister can devour a lot of venison. I'll let the nephew's fill their tags, and if I want to shoot something, I will.
  3. My hunting circle hasn't gotten squat this year. The only exception is a youth hunter, and my two nephew's taking their first bow kills. However several of us have passed many does, and smaller bucks. I know several of my buddies have drastically lowered their self imposed restrictions drastically for the next few days.
  4. Really, have to make it political? Please educate me how this left wing POS has anything to do with it, and why it's on my phone.. what a idiot..
  5. Congrats on the spike. Sounds like it was a fun hunt.
  6. The ad I have now is about Jennifer Lopez dating history. I can assure you, I've NEVER googled her or her dating history. So the theory that the ads are generated by my search history can't be true, and no one uses my phone but me.
  7. I just bought a mono pod trigger stick. I like it. The bi pod would be easier as I wouldn't move side to side like the mono pod.
  8. I just can't bring myself to try it. Something about it just doesn't sound appealing. My dad used to fry it up with butter, and onions.
  9. Never shot a deer with a shotgun slug. But by the looks of that slug, it's going to hurt...
  10. If broadside, I always aim a inch or so behind the crease. If quartering away, I want the exit to be just behind the opposite shoulder.
  11. I don't mind cats. We'd probably have one but one of our dogs would kill it immediately.
  12. There just as bad. My fenced in yard and 3 large dogs help tremendously. The only predator I really worry about is hawks. Had them swoop down after a chicken with me and the dogs only a few feet away.
  13. Very nice. Been a few months since I've had issues with critters looking for a chicken dinner.
  14. 36", sounds like too much. How many shots did you take at 200, and were they all that low? My ML hits several inches off with a clean barrel vs a one shot fouled barrel at 100 yards. At 200, it would be much worse.
  15. Think the dreaded lockdown period has started. Zero pics of larger bucks. Only does and smaller bucks for the last 2 days. Seen a huge 10pt hounding a doe in a thicket only 50yrds from a clients house.
  16. Literally in my lap. Lots of hills and valleys. Might be something you would want to walk and see if it's what you're thinking about. Not the region in my area I would look for a wall hanger, but if the agg is there in neighboring lands, it might be a option.
  17. I hope they make it right.
  18. I'm hopeful it is. Too many are proven otherwise. I'm on the hopeful side.
  19. Otherwise you'd be bringing home 3 pups, lol
  20. Looks like there was three in the first pic? Assuming that wasn't same litter? Don't worry about names yet. Live with them for a few days/week and something will click and a name will make sense and relate to each pup.
  21. @wolc123 how did her team do? Did they get the game in before it got dark?
  22. Amazing the opinions before they know any facts..
  23. Looks like the wind is whipping by the looks of the flag.
