    I got some Easton Raider carbon arrows from the store were not supposed to shop. I'm trying to figure out what size field tip I need. Looking on Eastons website, I see they go by MM, however these arrows are not listed, so I'm thinking there made exclusively for Dick's. I'm guessing there a 6.5mm, but not sure. Anyone know for sure?

    Shot a few doe many yrs ago with the 22-250. Don't remember what my hand loads were though. Most didn't go more than a few feet before dropping. As most have said, Shot placement is key.

    Fortunately, I'm seeing tons of bucks. No reported cases of EHD in my area.

    My nephew is shooting the mission. It will be his second season with it hopefully he will connect this season. I'm shooting a PSE stinger.

    Is the Primo proof still being made? If so that would be my choice. I've got one that has been outside for 4 yrs. Super easy to set up, and takes great pics or videos.

    Glad you're feeling better. I'd get a second opinion on that arm, just to be sure. Buddy of mine fell out of a ladder stand last yr. He just had another surgery. Really messed him up bad.

    I had one of those when I used to shoot pistol league many yrs ago. Another one of " kicking myself in the ass" for selling. I sold it to a young mans dad. His son was going places in the pistol and shotgun competition at age 16. Unfortunately he passed at 18 in a auto accident that was no fault of his own. His dad has that pistol to this day.

    Really, how friggin stupid was this guy thinking he wouldn't get caught. The other large deer he claims were shot behind his house were probably shot in the same high fence place, and no one questioned those, so let's try a world record, lol

    Well, I hate to say it, but...... Better you than me. Seriously though, that had to be beyond aggravating. Were you screens the fiber type? Not sure the metal would have lasted much longer.

    2 yrs ago a client had a horrible mouse problem. I was there every day in the fall emptying the traps. Forgot exactly how many I got in a two week period, but it was a incredible number. Old stacked stone foundation was the culprit. It's since been repointed and the mice have been manageable. Couldn't imagine having them chew threw screens though.

    I agree 100% with you on letting county officials dictate whether a hunting season is held or not. Should be DECs decision.

    Only the back legs? Decent amount of meat on the torso. I made squirrel sausage once. Took the meat from 15-20 squirrel's and mixed it 50/50 with pork. IIRC I think I had around 3lbs total, lol. It was delicious.

    Agreed. They are hitting the hickory's hard. Had to move one of my cams because I was getting tired of getting notifications on my phone only to see a tree rat.

    I'd see this. I really don't see many counties opting out of it. There's usually little to no snow in most areas at this time. I hope my county(Columbia) adopts the season, but there a lot of antis in this county and I'm sure they will do everything they can to stop it, but realistically, if it's bitter cold and I've already have a couple deer down, I probably wouldn't hunt.

    I'm sure it takes time to get the test results back, so most likely, the numbers are going to jump. As more hunters start to scout for the upcoming season, I'm betting the calls to DEC reporting dead deer will increase multiple times.

    The article on DEC website estimates 1500 died last year.

    Just found this same article on DEC website. So far only two deer are confirmed, with several other dead deer reported, but not confirmed.

    Not busting chops...but Your neighbor finding two dead isn't a confirmation of EHD. Has there been any actual confirmed cases by DEC? I'm just hoping it isn't EHD, and just some weird coincidence.
