  1. One could make the argument that he never said he approves of or has done it himself. Lol
  2. Your correct. It's legal to shoot predators as long as they are after your livestock. I'll admit, I usually don't wait for them to attempt a chicken dinner. Now that I fenced in a large area of the yard, my dogs have done a fantastic job of keeping the critters out. I often see yotes and fox walking the outer edge of the fence, and my surveillance cameras have confirmed they do indeed jump the fence during the night. Coops are locked tight every night.
  3. Where did you find green eggs? And no ham?
  4. Around here the DEC is more than happy to write tickets to those that use illegal crossbows. Know a few that have gotten dinged.
  5. I get it, but I didn't read it as he was going to shoot them regardless of the law. I understand if he has openly admitted he would do so, but I don't recall such a post.
  6. Other comments I get, but not the quotations. Personally, I shoot every yote I see around my place regardless of what month it is, but I've got chickens that the bastards are after.
  7. How do you know he means he's going to shoot them now? Because of quotations?
  8. If my WMU had the early season, I'd probably look for a youth or first time hunter to take out. Not worried at all about spooking the deer with a few gun shots. Always take a couple youths during the youth season, and never seen a change in pattern after a couple deer are taken. Good luck to all headed out.
  9. I didn't want the 4:10 gears. So not sure if that would have mattered.
  10. Sighted many a rifle in with this method to get it on paper, along with a few ML.
  11. Woolrich pants still available? If so I'll take em.
  12. Tie it to a quad or snowmobile, lol.
  13. You definitely explained it much better than I did, lol.
  14. I'd start at 25 yrds. You can take the breach plug out and look through the bore at a target, then the scope to see if it's "close". Adjust as necessary. Then move out to 50 and dial it in. Once dialed in at 50, you should only need to raise the POI at 100yrd+. What powder, bullet do you have? Do you have a bullet starter? Definitely a helpful tool.
  15. Lol, I hope. The plant in Flint Michigan is the only plant running. They only produce the HD.
  16. Just got notified my 2022 Silverado 3500 has been built and is waiting for final quality control inspection, then shipping to my dealer. Order it May 18th. Hopefully I'll see it in about a month.
  17. Try it mid December with temps in the teens, and a 15mph wind. I got so frustrated trying to get the thing folded I busted it up and tossed it in the dumpster.
  18. I've had a couple doghouse blinds over the yrs. I despise them. PITA to fold up. My wife got me one for Xmas last yr, and I promptly returned it.
  19. Awesome pics. Enjoy the next couple days with family.
  20. You never know on the internet. Figured you were, but I had to put my 2¢ in. Haven't been on the Golden Rd in a few yrs. Used to travel it to ice fish Duck lake. Had two adult moose that wouldn't leave the road one winter. Trying to get past them with snowmobiles is a tad intimidating, lol.
  21. I'm going with young moose tracks. Seen many deer tracks in Maine over the past 25 yrs, and haven't seen a deer track that big.
