  4. I think the only NY compliant spray is either string in a can or cheese wiz. Maybe they will be overcome from cheesy goodness.....
  5. im barely getting any zuchini so maybe we have to start trading zuchs for ripe tomatoes. Meet me in cooperstown with 3 zuchini on Sat.
  6. this makes me think of the Mad Max movies........
  7. painting skills are great! Nice Job!
  8. Best stretch of the year for me has always been Halloween to about Nov 17. I wouldnt worry about the moon affecting the rut at all. I wouldn't go earlier in Oct and take the chance of hitting warm weather and a lull. If that's all the time off you can take. I am actually planning not to hunt hard at all til about 10/23 this season. But then really focus on those last 3 weeks of Archery .
  9. Happy Birthday @silent death Hope it's a good day!
  10. Tornado warning south of Norwich now.
  11. July fish fry. Oneida lake fillet o fish!
  12. I was looking at the radar and see there was a tornado warning for catteragus county. So much rain and so many storms this year.
  13. Put in for Vaca now! Thurs and Fri off for the first two weekends of season and seal the deal. Nice buck
  14. Took a ride out Lewis co way today and looks like this year is going to be a bumper crop of apples. Trees all over were loaded. Saw a nice buck by my buddy's house too.
  15. Italian scramble and some venison country sausage.
  16. Looks great. I made some of that a couple years ago and it was pretty tasty. This year I am making a moonshine sausage it's called. A lot like the maple blueberry but with some dried cranberries etc.
  17. 1st zucchini of the year. Tomatoes are starting to ripen and there is a ton for 3 plants. Def need to pick some chard and green onions. Carrots are starting to go good now, peas are done.
  18. When I am taking down a stand the top ratchet stays on the tree and I cut it from the ground with a pole saw. I'm not dangling off a treestand at 20 ft to get a $3 ratchet strap that I replace every year anyway. Putting them up I put a ratchet on the brace and then one on every ladder section on my way up. Then unhook them after I get the top one on. And then I always put a second one from the foot rail and leave it there. But this is a good idea for sure and def a safety upgrade.
  19. Most of them won't ship to NY if it's one of the illegal ones. But like anything else if they sell it doesn't always mean it's legal. Can buy deer corn feed at Walmart and it's illegal to feed deer. Throws a lot of people off. It's amazing what's illegal in NY. Slingshots with a wrist brace are also illegal. Gotta love NY. Lol.
  20. Well yes of course . But if your going to carry one make sure it's one thats legal. So that all that mess doesn't happen or at least less chance of. But in today's world you are as likely to get arrested for carrying it no matter the reason you had to use it
  21. i think a lot of those Bear sprays are illegal in NY. And the way things are now she would end up gettign arrested and sued instead of the person that came after her.
  22. how many pumps do you have running to keep the water out of it?? with all this rain I am surprised you can keep it that dry
