Vaccination
Robhuntandfish replied to johnplav's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Would find that hard to believe. Esp when all I see in the health care field/emergency response is nothing but flooded phone lines and people wanting and waiting to get it and no vaccine available. Hundreds of appts were cancelled cause vaccines weren't available. There are waiting lists here for thousands. If they were sent back then they also weren't doing their job of disseminating it. Esp since it was opened up to seniors. If they are a pod for vaccines I can't see anyway they were sent back instead of being offered to others at least. -
Vaccination
Robhuntandfish replied to johnplav's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
That doesn't mean it's all choice. Our county ran out of vaccines and we were supposed by get more and it went to Syracuse. There isn't enough vaccine for demand. Some is choice of course but much is a lack of vaccine to give out. When it becomes available places are booked in an hour. Most of the drug stores that are supposed to get vaccine are already booked into March. -
I've been mixing apple and hickory but was thinking last weekend I want to try pecan.

What is Wonder bread? Lol

Got my spot all picked out. 15 minutes from my house right now. But a big chunk of land. In winter I would travel in Jan and Feb to a couple different places in the South each year to get out of the weather and do some fishing and hunting. But I wouldn't buy another 2nd place somewhere cause I would want to try lots of different places.

Biz better hope the Chiefs win. Next year they are bound to follow the lead of the X Redskins and be "the football team from Kansas City". And how can you root for that anymore? Lol I actually watched the bills game last night. Haven't watched football in a few years. And I found I still dislike Chris Collinsworth.

Nice! I wanted to get out and cut brush but wet snow here and it was just damp and cold so I did house chores. That looks like a much better afternoon.

Oneida walleye fry.

I think there is so many eyes now that an 18" wouldn't be good . But I like the idea of the 15-20 with one 20". It is always has been rare to get any eyes over 23-24 inch there. 5 lbers are rare and hear of like one 8lber a year
-
There's been a lot of talk about Oneida walleye limit going to 5 this year from 3. I actually would prefer they keep it at 3. That's plenty and it keeps the walleye plentiful as well. We catch enough in the summer with all the people that I fish with to keep us in fish thru the winter and give some to family. I know a lot of old guys that brag how they caught 1500 walleyes back in the day and had so many they put them in the garden. Then those are the same guys that say the lake isn't what it used to be . What a waste. I put enough bags away for one fish fry a month and that's plenty.

You would have to become the official forum BBQ tech and this being a 24/7 need you would have to get enough $ to ensure you wouldn't have to work! Lol Also have to add in would buy back "the hole" for Fletch so he can keep hunting there! And start a nice scholarship program at the academy. -

A friend of mine says he would invest on this and start a business doing that....I wouldn't do any of that. Even after giving away most all of it , it would still be more than I could ever spend. And I don't want employees or regulations to jump through or a business to try and run, I mostly don't want to be bothered. Land to hunt, house setup I want, garage and access to the lake. A couple of trips every year to get out of the winter to different spots. -

All fish are cannibals. If there are walleye and channel cats in there I would bet they also do a good job of keeping the perch population in check. Whatever they are doing 12-15 inch perch is amazing! We've hit schools of them at times and it was like catching little walleyes. And the easiest fish to clean on the planet.
-
Think that should depend on the water. Some places there are soooo many little perch you can't catch them fast enough and also rarely get big ones cause there is so much competition for food and they are overpopulated. I can see a lot of people against this but 25 is more than plenty for me. But they need to be sure this doesn't cause overpopulated places and now you get nothing but 6 inch perch. The St Lawrence comes to mind. I once caught 123 in about 3 hours. And kept maybe 35 that were worth cleaning.

After all the bad news in the world lets take a minute to dream ....... WTF are you gonna do if you win the Mega tonite???? Me - give most of it away to good causes, family and friends. Have just enough to spend on some land for sale nearby (500+ acres) that I would put a log cabin on and probably never be seen again except during fishing season between bouy 107 and 109. How bout you?? the $2.00 is worth it just to think about it....... For the forum members I would get - Turkeyfeathers - a golden ticket to every craft brewery in NY that says "I can drink all i damn want to" Tacks - Fly fishing lessons from Hank Patterson Moog - a full time expert coyote distance spotter Treeguy - Lake Ontario Lomax - full indoor plumbing, electric and wifi for the buckform so he never has to leave Pygmy - 51% ownership of Mables Lawd - a third buck tag every year Biz - North American sheep slam for ewes Dinorocks- i would take everything away that has electricity or was invented after 1950 cause you dont need it Crappyice - unlimited snow days Grampy - anything he wants for being such a nice guy Otto - portable hook out kits for when we are fishing and i hurt myself again Bionic - Maine Thats just a start! lol
