  1. Now there's already an improvement for 2021!!!! Glad she is doing some better. Good news
  2. If you get a 16-17 foot no need for a kicker or trying to troll with the main engine. Get the ipilot troll motor and a 24 v system. So much easier and quieter. No steering, hands free, can set and maintain a direction and speed. You'll never go back.
  3. The head guy at tracker was awesome. The rod holders that fit the track system are crazy expensive. But can just buy Bass pro brand for a 1/4 of the price and use a machine screw and a washer and nut to do the same thing. Only issue with tracker is you are buying their package and there is no changing out electronics and troll motor . So if you want to upgrade - which I def suggest and sounds like your going to- they will install it all there but you will have to sell the other ones that come with the boat. I sold mine here to some folks so it worked out fine. But you can also buy it there and they will install it for you. I bought the boat then got a Bass pro VIP card and $500 gift card. So I used it to help pay for trolling motor and electronics upgrade. And they installed it for free. The price for the trackers is also the price, they won't haggle it. Nice thing is though the salesman don't work on commission and we're very upfront on everything. Service center was also great and they stored it for me for free until spring. If you buy at Bass pro in Utica use me as a reference and I think we both get a discount. Just let me know and I can pm my info. Added - what I don't like about my tracker. - storage areas in front don't seal tight enough to keep heavy rain out. But I always cover it off the water
  4. Also on the tracker I really like the rail system along the boat edge for mounting rod holders. No drilling needed and they are easy to take off/on. Best way to decide is go to the boat show and look them all over. I found things I liked and disliked on each after checking them out. I really wasnt a fan of how the starcraft storage was setup with most of it in the floor. I liked the setup on the polarcraft best of all but the price kept me away.
  5. This one I was in love with but the price was too much for me. Esp since I wanted a larger motor for it too. It had the walk thru front instead of a deck but was way more than I was looking to spend. But I am happy with my tracker. Customer service at Utica tracker was the best I've ever encountered in buying a boat or a car. And the boat I got was setup just the way I wanted it and in a price I could afford. The Lund dealers I went to were the worst. No one wanted a trade in, or to come down in price or even workup any changes for used boats I was looking at.
  6. I own a tracker and like it a lot. That being said if I were to get any boat and price wasn't a factor I like a StarCraft for durability. My top motor choice would be a Yamaha. There is a starcraft dealer in sand pond area that I had quote me some prices and they seemed like good folks, but they also didn't have any stock to look at. I didn't buy cause they didn't offer me near as much for my trade in and I liked the setup of the tracker better for storage and floor setup. If you get one get an auto pilot.trolling motor. Best thing since sliced bread. And I have had a lot of tiller boats but a wheel for me is a lot easier and more comfortable. Polarcraft are real nice boats but wow they want a lot for them. I loved the camo one they have, it's a beauty. Smoker craft and starcraft are the same boats for the most part. If you look at brochures and info the only difference on most of them is the name.
  7. Stuffed backstrap with a spinach artichoke dip wrapped in bacon. Wild rice and mushrooms. Jim and Ginger as libation.
  8. Might have to call and see if in Utica . Thanks
  9. Oh by the way I broke 1000 inches of walleye this year.
  10. Is this the most deer you've ever taken in a season? I know not the biggest bucks for you but damn gotta be up there for "making meat" as you say.
  11. im wondering how its going to work for the second round. Once it is opened up to more people that want it there is going to be more of a demand and people will still need to get the second dose. I can see that being a possible mess.
  12. but not as an update to the whitetail management plan that hasnt been updated in 10 years. It wont have a good chance to pass on its own for sure. Guess we will have to see, but i dont see this being thrown out of the plan and i think the plan will go thru. Bills can be written and into comittee in 24 hours. Cuomo prob vetoed it cause it was an additon on the Republican side and had no backing, he didnt pick that out because he cares if we hunt with a crossbow, it was because it was an indivual add on not a state plan. We will see, very hard to tell.
  13. right now sign up wasnt open to the public. You had to be identified as a frontline worker and in the area etc. If they opened it to the public they wouldnt have enough for sure. At least up here. Im sure the city obviously got more of the vaccine.
  14. they discuss it? lol. It will be attached to something that has nothing to do with hunting. It will pass as long as one of the committee members has the ok to attach it to something from the party lead or committee lead. Which it will be put in as a new management plan. Only reason it didnt make it out of committee is because not a single person cared if this passed or not so no one pushed it. If it is part of the state plan it flies by.
  15. the signup they had here for the last two days for frontline workers filled up in just a few hours. If somewhere it isnt being used then they def need to open it up more.
  16. Even if they get a 1/3 of the population that means 100 million plus are waiting. I dont think they will have any problem using every and all vaccine that is available for several months. Esp if there continues to be very little issue with side effects.
  17. I dont see this as as big a hurdle as that. Yes its a law change but it has already been drafted before. If it is put into this plan they will just attach to to something else and put into session. It would go thru committee if its part of this plan. No reason it takes 6 + months. Plus if this has already been out and setup for public comment its already in the works. Its not the same as introducing this seperate, its now part of the state management plan.
  18. true but when they said the vaccine would be out by the end of the year everyone said it wouldnt happen. If they get 20M done by January were they that far off? I am amazed how fast the govt actually put this together once the vaccines were approved.
  19. he sure did! Plus i think others got some bucks too. Sodfather, Jeremy? anyway think you mustve been fairly close.
  20. Why wouldnt it go to session by April? Esp as a whole package. If they wait til july they wont be able to get it done til 2022.
