  1. lol. Strike indicator----or bobber?
  2. oh no kidding - lol. I havent been there in a few years for sure. I used to walk in on the far side of that bridge at 4am and salmon fish. Good spot for a ranger school!
  3. last time i went out- the very LAST time - lol. I walked out fell, got up, fell again minnows went everywhere, i was soaked and freezing and my side hurt for a week and i said WTF and why am i doing this???? I had gone a few times when there was ice all winter and just take a pole and a small skimmer and break open other holes that people drilled and fish. Caught a couple eyes that way but didnt really care for it. Plus i didnt like it near enough to invest in all the gear. See alot of guys using attachments for power drills these days instead of a full auger. Less to carry.
  4. everyone ive talked to says also just throw 3 lures in the bushes before you get there to get it out of the way cause its a snag fest. lol. But have seen some pics of some nice fish out of there. Musky too
  5. not sure where your from but def several areas in NY to catch a tiger. Otisco of course is well known. A lake up in the Dacks - Lake Durant - has a lot of them but they usually are under 30" but a very good chance of cathcing them there- ive caught a bunch out of it. Also lots of places in NY to catch a 40" Northern as well. Just gotta chunk and wind and best times to fish for them is spring thru early summer before July. This is my best ever Northern right here in NY! Have caught a few 40" in different spots in NY. Good luck and keep at it!
  6. Oneida lake Diehards? Lol. I'm a member of their site but I don't ice fish. I live on the lake but ice fishing just isn't my gig. I know they have been out on big bay but haven't really seen anyone out on the East end where I live. A week ago saw a boat off Lewis point. Lake is now mostly froze but can't think there is much for good ice as I haven't seen people out there.
  7. I don't think I could stop now. They are like preseason crack. I only pull them once before season but it's like Xmas day.
  8. I am not a biden guy cant stand him as a career politician, and really not a fan of the right or the left, but mostly go with right base - Love Mike Lee! that being said I think Trump should be impeached regardless if there is 10 days left. And yes it does several things - Day one or the last day, an impeachable offense is still just that and has to be addressed. And unless your wearing the orange glasses you cant defend his actions/inactions on that day. You dont get to burn the building down on your way out the door without consequence Dem or Rep. Also he should not be in office again or able to run and hopefully this will get him the hell out of the way for candidates in 2024 such as Nikki Haley, Mike Lee, (my guy Mike Rowe! lol) etc. Also he did nothing to protect the members of the house and senate as this was occuring, in fact he had to be convinced. The president needs to protect them regardless of being Dem or Rep and it was disgusting to see him not act in their behalf and Mike Pence has to make the statement that Trump should have, but it should have come from him. Will be glad to see him go, yet not happy to see Biden in. Kudos to Katko and others for being a republican and having the backbone to say a member of your own party shoudl be impeached and doing whats right and not to walk along party lines. I get that many or most of the Dems are impeaching for reasons cause they hate trump but the truth is all the legislators shoudl be standing up and saying the same. Even though I dont like Trump i always believed that Trump loved America but the issue is that Trump loves Trump more and he was willing to burn the house down rather than leave it. And for this he needs to face the music.
  9. The salmon and the Oswego are both good for steelhead. Oswego has a walkway in the city you can fish along. Most places need a real long handle net, like extended long to get them in places. It gets real crowded but weekdays are best . Salmon River has a lot of access sites. I am guessing with no rain or snow up here the flows are really low and that doesn't help bring the steelies in, but it does make wading easier. I used to fish the trestle pool area a bit in Altmar and same during the week is best. Should be lots of places to stay. Charlie Daniels used to stay at the "Portly Angler" and the river is right close to it. Been several years since I've been up there and as already said ChrisW will know more about going than I do. Just be prepared for some cold and some searching at times to find them. Look into the regs for legal rigs. There is also some good tackle shops in the area. Might want to call them and get info before making that long of a trip. Fat Nancy's or All seasons come to mind. Good luck and keep us updated if you go.
  10. i will go this way, will NEVER do the other. Havent said it while people were getting it done, but my Mom did the test, they perferorated her colon, she needed to have surgery with an open wound after to take care of for weeks, then had to have a hernia surgery due to the other surgery. Nope. - no family history here for this so a hard NO for me!
  11. Right but people are thinking he's saying it's closing cause they didn't read it right....I give up...lol.
  12. Does anyone actually read a whole post?? Lol Read his whole post aloud. Esp the part that says " this site is not being removed at least yet". Hes inferring it could/might someday.....
  13. It was part of a package deal i made with "Bob" when he called. If I get everyone's phone number for him he will extend my warranty for TWO years.
  14. Happy birthday ! Hope it was a good day! @Sir-diealot
  15. Adorable little pup!!! Congrats.
  16. In his post he says "this site is not being removed at least not yet". He is just referring/inferring that in the future it might be. But I will need everyone's cell phone number just in case it closes so I can send pics of the 2.5 year old doe I shoot next year.
  17. Should've taken it in Bitcoin.
  18. Teriyaki venison heart with onions and peppers . Excellent.

I found another site that had it for less than half price but it seemed ,...... um .....sketchy...lol so i went wiht the one on ebay. Which was still a pretty good deal if it works.
  20. Pflueger. It came as a combo. got the 6'6" . I seem to get farther casts with that for stickbait fishing. I like the 6' for using a senko though. Ive had good luck with Quantum rods as well. Just never cared for their reels.
  21. i like a fast tip single peice. I actually like the rod it came with a lot.
  22. i bought a combo 2 years ago at runnings and the reel started sticking last year. Have to take it apart and put some lube in there and hope thats the issue.
  23. Venison pastrami Cuban. The pastrami came out great!!! So good.
