    that wind off the east end of the lake is just incredible sometimes. I open the back door to let the dog out and cant even hear. I usually go thru a new flag every spring. Just waiting for spring.....

    the one i shot last year on opening day was the same thing. Jake - but he was fanned out for a hen and gobbling like crazy.

    you have more than that invested in dreamy Mahomes per week alone. But i get it, he is the man. I gave up football years ago when i realized i would rather participate in sports.

    Give up football not fishing. The chiefs hit their pinnacle time to move on. Plus football is a holdup for inches in the fall.

    yes this - need a stream trout rod. Cant be seen on a stream with a broken bass rod. Thats just ridiculous. No one will ever believe you shoot a Matthews. - IE- "Buster" (trout guys will get this lol )

    She broke it cause the rest of the world knows u don't fish trout with a bass rod. Good for her. Time to buy a new zebco! Or to keep up with Matthews and weatherby better look thru an orvis catalog!

    Usually first two weeks for me but I think it's cause i hunt more for them then. End of May I'm on the lake for walleye more than turkey hunting. Although I have taken turkey memorial weekend.

    A barrel of oil is down to $11. Although it will be nice to see cheap gas - this is not good for the economy. We are still paying more for several reasons as whats out there available isnt being used and of course taxes. But gas sitting in storage is .12 a gallon. And its still heating season.     12 G mossberg 835 with turkey choke - shoot federal #5 turkey loads. No scope but fiber optic sight. Last year took a turkey at 8 yards. Havent shot at a turkey with it over 30 yards yet.

    Former wife's family was polish and every Easter it was homeade perogies. They made cheese and kraut ones with a sauce of diced onion and butter. Good stuff.

    Went to lease today and moved a pile of brush. In a tree just behind one of my stands this was in a tree. I could see it from a ways away and went over to check it out. It was an off white and to me it looks like a tail . I thought it was some kind of animal til I walked over there. What animal did it come from? All I can think is skunk? But no black on it. It's prob 12-14 inches long.

    Spectrum has free epix and Showtime right now. They put it on free since so many are home.

    Had it out once this year for a test run. Got the troll motor and electronics figured out. But didn't really fish. Next run out it gets serious

    Scouting mission tomorrow on local launches to see if the barricades are gone and if I can pay my launch fee for the year!
