Def. I couldn't pass on that brookie last weekend. I try to have at least one meal of stream trout a year. They sure are good, never cared much for lake Ontario salmon, but a nice cold stream trout is always good.

I concur. I tried some in air fryer. Disappointing for sure.

I was out near your way fishing today in oriskany falls/bouckville. Snow was dropping of the trees in clumps making the trout real spooky.

I actually let them go. This spot is trophy trout water. Stream is only like 10-12 ft wide, artificial lures only. And bushes and brambles where rabbits wouldn't go. But have caught 20" browns out of it. Plus had walleye out to cook for Tonite.

Walleye fry. Fish tacos slawed then some creole seasoning.

Got out to setup turkey spot in 6S and then a little trout fishing. Got a couple browns, lost 4. Tough fishing cause it snowed some and it kept dropping off branches and splashing into the stream. Def made the trout spooky. It's a tiny little stream. But good day outside.

Ever buy a bag of salt potatoes? It comes with a huge packet of salt. Wayyyy to much for my taste. Hate to just throw it out. So over like 5 years I have 9 bags of salt.

On wed it was 20 years since Tom Brady was drafted. On ESPN they played Mel Kipers eval of Brady. Pretty neat. Brady sent out a message " I still remember" lol I said months ago I don't think he throws a pass again. I don't know why. Maybe because it just doesn't seem right.

Last time I shot chucks was many years ago. Put up a house in Holland patent and the lot was loaded with em. Like you said Dan got prone and shot em. Used my Dad's old .22 that he shot woodchuck with. He saved up and bought one when he was 14. And actually it helped feed the family too. He was the oldest brother home in a large family and him and the next older boys did a lot of hunting and fishing to feed the family. Oldest brother was off in WW2. Which is where he went too later. I still have that .22 hanging up. I don't hunt with it anymore.

I look at him as the Dr you go to see that is overweight and smoking out back when you get there. Then you go in for your appt and he tells you your fat and you leave thinking what an A hole but ... he is right. I like a lot of his actions I hate a lot of his words. Feel like im getting fed but have to eat a lot of crap to get full. He is at times hard to watch esp when he says 20 times - "we are doing it the best , better than anyone, everyone is telling me what a great job we are doing, like nothing theyve ever seen." WTH are you talking about - NO ONE has said those words to you- lol. But i love so many of the actions he has taken that I eat the limburger and stomach the smell. I think hes a jerk but we needed him to beat Hillary. I can make a big list of moves he has done that i like - I can only name one for Obama (killing BIn Laden) . Trump - getting out of the Paris accords, going after other countries to pay their share of defense budget in GDP, border security, tax cuts, deregulation, boosting the military etc. He has done more in less time than any president ever. If he would just stick his tweeter somewhere life would be easier for him and everyone else. I think there are some good candidates to come for the republican party. Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Rand Paul, Mike Lee are all interesting to me for the years to come. One thing that has been driving me nuts is him and Pence standing shoulder to shoulder thru this. And I KNOW advisors have told him they should be seperated during a pandemic in case they get sick and i am positive Trump didnt listen. That being said - remember if they get sick - who is next in line ? - ugh!Yeah Nancy. And they have been exposed by the same people a couple of times and had to be tested. Lets use a little sense. Hell the fear of any chance of Pelosi being in power we should consider having Pence on the moon.

Gov just extended the NY on pause til the 15th, mandated everyone wear a mask out in public, said we just now hit the peak and upstate here is said to be 1 week behind NYC. Gotta think NY isn't close to reopening for a while. At least the full month from now minimum. Not happy about it at all, don't think anyone is. But May 15 will prob be more of a phase in start up at best. Not a shotgun start. Unfortunately.
